I received my first and last (never again!) under eye dermal fillers in 2021. 2 years later, I noticed odd indentations on my face. After much reading, fear, worry, etc, about fillers & dissolving, I found Dr. Shaden and felt confident to go here thanks to all the reviews. 4 years since my dermal fillers were placed, and they still existed, despite all those claims that they would dissolve 'easily'! As a healthcare professional myself, I felt so betrayed and silly for letting this happen to myself. I'm not 100% sure if my face is entirely back to normal without the indentations, but I'm at least so, so much more comfortable with it now--the indentations are far less visible, and I'm so very grateful for her help. She and her staff were very kind, and patient. I wish topical numbing was a thing before getting all the needles to my face, but so be it. I am so sorry for giving trouble, and also thankful for your patience with my fear of needles.

I found Dr. Shaden because I was specifically looking for someone who could safely dissolve my “liquid rhinoplasty” or nose bridge filler. Over the years and after a few touch ups, my face started to feel and look swollen, and I started having debilitating chronic migraines and vision changes. After spending a ton of money trying to get to the root of the issue, I started to suspect the filler was causing inflammation, so I decided to have it dissolved, and Dr. Shaden had stellar reviews. I was not disappointed. Almost immediately after having the filler dissolved, it felt like a literal weight had been lifted from my face. I have not had a migraine since. Dr. Shaden was so considerate of my concerns, listened to my history and didn’t dismiss my symptoms like so many other doctors had in the past. She also texted after every visit to make sure I was recovering well. I highly recommend Dr. Shaden for all of your aesthetic (and medical) needs.

The doctor is very kind, but her experience with filler removal feels limited. She relied too much on my input instead of giving clear guidance, and I was left badly bruised — still bruised 24 days later — with no improvement around my eye. I understand it’s a collaboration, but patients aren’t the experts. In my case, it didn’t feel like a collaboration at all — it felt like she was depending on me, when what I really needed was more direction and guidance from her. For the extremely high prices, I expected more. I’ve had excellent results elsewhere for around $1,200, so the value here just isn’t there. She’s a sweetheart, but honesty matters — her filler removal skills need more hands-on experience before charging premium rates. If you’re considering filler removal, I’d suggest testing a small area first and then doing a flooding session if it works. Personally, I would not return to this provider.

If you suspect your filler is causing your face to look lumpy, bumpy, puffy, chipmunky when you smile, can’t feel your cheekbones, and you have festoons that somehow appeared after you had filler read this!! I had all the above and more. I always suspected it was from filler but was told for 15 years that it’s just aging because filler dissolves over time and or I was never injected where I’m complaining about. It’s a LIE!! All of it. I even consulted with a plastic surgeon for a face lift. I’m 45. Luckily I went down a rabbit hole, probably like you, and found Dr. Shaden!! I have now spent about 5hrs in total dissolving filler all over my face, and in places I never was injected! It’s terrifying to see what filler actually does. You can literally see it hidden in lil pockets on the imaging. It seeps everywhere! And it’s beyond satisfying and fascinating to see Dr. Shaden meticulously insert the needle and dissolve it. You feel the pressure and release as your REAL self is being uncovered. I’m beyond grateful, and appreciative for Dr. Shaden. My face looks AMAZING! I no longer want nor need a facelift. I will never let anyone inject anything into my face ever again other than Dr. Shaden. Honestly it should be a requirement for anyone injecting. You will not regret your appointment, you will only regret not going to her sooner. She’s my new favorite person, as well as her assistant. They make the entire experience even better!

I have so much to say, but I’ll start with this: If you’ve ever had filler and been told “it’ll dissolve on its own in a few years” or you’ve gone through dissolving sessions where the injector insisted “there’s nothing left” but deep down you still feel something isn’t right, trust yourself. I was in that exact place. I had filler injected into my nose to correct indentations from prior steroid injections after a revision rhinoplasty. Multiple surgeons, doctors, and nurses told me there was no way filler could still be present. But I couldn’t get myself to believe it. I could still see tiny irregularities that had never gone back to normal, and I could feel a fullness in areas that absolutely weren’t there before. The breakthrough came when I found Dr. Shaden. She comes from a radiology background and uses a proper ultrasound machine, not the smaller Bluetooth devices some providers use, to actually see what’s going on. For the first time in years, I had confirmation: there was, in fact, still filler in my nose. The relief that gave me is beyond words. After so many dissolving sessions, so much second-guessing, and feeling alone in my journey, finally having answers has been life-changing. Dr. Shaden is incredibly thorough, patient, and kind, and she took the time to explain everything to me clearly. For the first time in this entire process, I felt truly understood and cared for. I am beyond grateful that I trusted my instincts and found her. If you are in a similar situation, don’t give up on yourself. There really are providers out there like Dr. Shaden who have the right background, the right technology, and the compassion to actually help. My hope is that in the future providers like Dr. Shaden are available all over the world, because this should be the only standard for dissolving. Everything else is a hit or miss and does not guarantee a full dissolve. I will only ever get dissolved this way for the rest of my life.

Dr. Shaden was amazing!! There is not a provider in my area, Reno, Nevada, that dissolves filler under ultrasound. I knew the vial of hylenex my injector put under my eyes only got a small portion of the under eye filler. Lumps persisted. I was very unhappy. Then after much research, I was elated to finally find someone who would truly help get rid of the unwanted filler under my eyes. Dr. Shaden was fabulous. She is knowledgeable, kind, caring, and compassionate about what she does. She made me feel comfortable, educated me throughout the process, and she continued to check on me. I do not see any more weird bluish tint colors or lumps under my eyes. A big thank you to her and her team. They are wonderful! I definitely recommend her.
