With Alma Skin Tightening, these desired results can be achieved. Skin tightening is a radio frequency (RF) based, non-invasive treatment for skin laxity and wrinkles. Alma skin tightening rejuvenates the skin’s firmness and texture through thermal heating and remodeling of collagen. Most patients do not experience pain during the procedure. Typically, the dual-layer RF thermotherapy is described as the same sensation as a “warm massage.”

Belotero Balance Dermal Filler is different from other fillers. It is a versatile, hyaluronic filler that adapts to each individual’s skin. Belotero is created from hyaluronic acid, and binds to water when injected. From this binding to water, wrinkles and folds can be filled instantly, allowing for the skin to appear smooth. Belotero is a versatile hyaluronic gel that can be used in combination with deeper fillers, such as Radiesse. The denser gels, like Radiesse, can provide instant volume, while Belotero can yield a top layer that can soften superficial wrinkles.

During a consultation with Dr. Glenn Goldberg at our Orange County office, your hyperpigmentation treatment options will be discussed. Dr. Goldberg has developed an exclusive line of skin care products that even the skin’s pigmentation while creating a more youthful appearance. After the dermatology examination a custom topical treatment plan, created from skin products only available in our Laguna Beach office, will be prescribed. Additionally, for more stubborn pigmentation issues a series of light pigment peels can be applied. Intense pulsed light lasers such as the Alma AFT Laser are used in the most severe cases. Dr. Goldberg is skilled at improving the health of your skin, evening its pigmentation to restore your self-confidence and well being.

INFINI RF radio-frequency microneedling is the next step beyond CO2 Fractional lasers. This system delivers controlled radio-frequency energy to break down acne scars that lie deep under your skin, while sparing the top layers of the skin. INFINI is best suited for atrophic and rolling acne scars as well as pore size reduction. Results following INFINI RF are better than Fraxel laser, with a quicker recovery time.

AFT Pulsed light is a non-invasive treatment utilizing light and heat to improve the overall appearance, quality and health of the sun-exposed skin. The target areas absorb the selective pulsed light energy without damaging health skin. The light energy improves brown discoloration, broken capillaries and photodamaged skin. The heat energy remodels aging collagen in the dermis, which improves texture, and brightens the skin.

Similar to Botox, Dysport and Xeomin, Jeuveau can be injected to treat dynamic wrinkles (lines caused by regular facial expressions and movements such as laughing, smiling and frowning) found in several areas of the face and neck.

Voluma® is injected under the skin above the cheekbone, using a fine needle. It can instantly add just enough volume to gently lift the cheek area. To reduce discomfort during the procedure, Voluma® contains an anesthetic. Juvederm Voluma® uses hylauronic acid, which is a sugar, found naturally occurring in the skin, to restore facial volume in the cheeks and to add contours to the chin.

Kybella is the first and only FDA approved injectable that improves the appearance of moderate to severe fat under the chin, called submental fat. It is the non-invasive, non-surgical solution to trim down your double chin and improve your profile.

With laser technology and our cosmetic surgery center, patients are able to remove unwanted tattoos. The number of treatments required to remove a tattoo will depend on your specific tattoo in terms of both size and color. During a consultation with Dr. Goldberg at our Orange County office, an evaluation of your tattoo and the necessary steps for removal will be discussed with you. A laser is used for tattoo removal that emits short flashes, called pulses. The pulse has been compared to the sensation of a rubber band snapping on the skin. Multiple treatments are typically required in order to effectively remove a tattoo, however, Dr. Glenn Goldberg will review with each patient on a case-to-case basis on how many treatments he projects will be required.

Mohs surgery is the most effective procedure used to remove skin cancers, the most common of which are squamous cell carcinomas and basal cell carcinomas. In fact, the Skin Cancer Foundation reports cure rates of 98 percent or greater with Mohs surgery. With advanced fellowship training in Mohs surgery at a nationally respected institution, Dr. Bobby Awadalla, operating out of Laguna Beach, CA, is at the forefront of performing these procedures. The key to Mohs surgery is that the excised tissue is examined by your surgeon under the microscope during the surgery, as opposed to other methods which occur after surgery. This critical procedural difference eliminates the need to over-estimate how deep the skin cancer goes. Instead it allows for small, thin layers to be removed and studied under a microscope to evaluate if cancer cells are present. Once a layer is reached where the margins of the tissue are cancer-free, the surgery is complete.

PCA peels consist of salicylic acid- a beta hydroxy acid which is found naturally in willow bark, wintergreen leaves and sweet birch bark. Although the causes of Rosacea are not completely understood, we can treat effectively. For most patients, rosacea can be treated with a combination of topical and oral medications and AFT pulsed light laser treatments.

Many individuals with spider or enlarged veins complain not only of their appearance, but also about the pain that can be associated from these vein conditions. Sclerotherapy is the most popular treatment optimized for spider and varicose veins on the legs. Through this procedure, small doses of a prescription solution are injected directly into the unwanted vein with a very fine needle. The solution irritates the vein causing it to stick together which seals off the vein. Over a period of weeks, the treated vein fades as the body absorbs it.

Is suitable for all skin types and produces predictable and noticeable results. The vitalized and rejuvenize peels are indicated for patients with mild to moderate skin conditions including sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring and melasma. Post peel kit included.

While contact dermatitis is a common form of rash, there are many reasons why a rash could be occurring. At our Orange County office, we use allergy patch testing to help identify the specific offending agent causing the dermatitis. It is important to understand what type of rash you might have before administering treatment.

Treatment includes thorough deep cleansing with steam (extractions if needed). Pumpkin enzyme treatment is applied. Relaxing neck shoulder and hand massage followed by a soothing hydrating mask. This treatment, offered at our Orange County office, is to promote smoother younger looking skin by increasing the rate of cell renewal and also has an instant result of exfoliating, brightening and temporarily tightening the skin.

UltraPulse Fraction CO2 Lasers uses the most revolutionary fractional resurfacing technology to transform the look of scars, wrinkles, and other skin impurities.
