I have been seeing Dr. Meghan Hession a couple of years. I worked as a lifeguard when I was younger and have spent my career outdoors, have skin damage and a previous skin cancer. She is very knowledgeable and educated on skin cancers and conditions which are the result of sun damage. She is always energetic and takes time to explain what the different suspicious spots on my skin are and when to be concerned. Dr. Hession is not one of those doctors that seems to be in a hurry to leave as I regularly need check ups and she takes the time and documents what she observes to see if there are any changes. I have also seen her for some cosmetic procedures which she is very skilled in performing.

I came to Dr. Hession with a dermatological issue that had been plaguing me for years that nearly a dozen dermatologists and various other doctors could not figure out how to treat. I had lost nearly all hope that I would ever be able to find help. Then I found Dr. Hession. My first visit with Dr. Hession particularly stands out because unlike so many of the other doctors that I had seen, Dr. Hession actually exhibited great patience and took the time to review my medical history without making me feel rushed or unimportant. It is a horrible feeling to see a doctor for something that is bothering you and to be made to feel that you are just a number or a dollar sign. We are real people with real issues who sometimes need care and help. After reviewing my history and gaining a full understanding of my issue Dr. Hession quickly suggested a few different types of treatments that no other previous doctor had offered. We quickly figured out the most effective treatment and for the first time in years I was able to gain control of the issue. Dr. Hession's knowledge combined with her out of the box thinking finally helped me to move forward. I will forever be grateful. Ensuing appointments with Dr. Hession have always been a pleasure. She exhibits great bed side manners, is kind, pleasant, friendly and very professional. She always takes the time to share her knowledge and educate me which again is something that was lacking with the other doctors that I have seen.
