⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding Care — Dr. Jochen is the Real Deal After a horrible experience at another Palm Springs clinic where I was left with excess filler in my cheeks that made me look unnaturally round and feminine, I was honestly nervous to trust anyone again. From the moment I walked into Contour Dermatology, everything changed. Dr. Jochen instantly knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. He carefully dissolved the excess filler and restored my face with subtle, masculine contouring — no overdone look, no “puffiness,” just clean, natural structure. He also added Sculptra to help stimulate my own collagen, which was a brilliant touch and something no other provider had suggested. The difference was immediate. I feel like myself again. I had several procedures performed at Contour Dermatology in Palm Springs in 2025. During my consultations, the procedures were explained as both cosmetic and medically preventative, specifically involving the removal of potentially cancerous skin cells. Contour Dermatology recommended these procedures and was fully aware at the time that I would be paying using my company HSA. My HSA paid and closed prior claims using only the receipts provided by Contour Dermatology, with no issues. It was only later, in December 2025, that my HSA administrator requested a standard form documenting medical necessity for these same procedures. Despite the fact that the procedures were presented as preventative and medically justified, Contour Dermatology refused to provide any documentation of medical necessity. This put me in a very difficult position financially and administratively. Communication throughout this process was extremely poor. I was passed around to multiple employees and could only get responses via text message. At one point, the billing office finally called me—only to accuse me of committing fraud for using my HSA and then abruptly hang up on me. This was shocking, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. Given that Contour Dermatology themselves recommended the procedures, accepted HSA payment, and had successfully submitted receipts for prior claims, their refusal to assist with a basic medical necessity form and the way I was treated afterward is unacceptable. I will not be doing business with Contour Dermatology again and would caution others who plan to use an HSA or need clear documentation to proceed very carefully.
