Laser Hair Removal – Disappointing Experience I got the laser hair removal deal here thinking it was a good value, but in the long run it turned out expensive and ineffective. I had already done laser at another clinic before coming here and only wanted to complete a few touch‑ups. At that previous clinic, I saw clear results from the 1st session and by the 6th session, got long-term results, only needed occasional maintenance afterwards every few months or so. Here, even though I followed their recommended schedule of coming every 4 weeks, I saw no real improvement. It actually felt like hair growth was being stimulated instead. I ended up with more frequent regrowth (including at spots already cleared from my previous clinic), and even spread to new nearby areas. I did take a short medical break, but the lack of progress started well before that. When I brought up my concerns and even shared articles about low or incorrect laser settings might trigger this issue, Valya kept saying the laser settings were optimal and blamed the short break. I was told repeatedly to stick to every-4-week visits which I did for almost an additional year after I brought up the issue but it didn’t make a difference so I stopped after my last package ended. It was a good reminder that cheaper options aren’t always the most cost-effective in the long run. When reading Groupon reviews afterwards, I noticed several people reporting the same issue and receiving the same explanation from Valya. Pros: *Friendly and polite staff, hence the 4 stars (love supporting small businesses too) *Flexible scheduling and rescheduling *Affordable pricing Cons: *Laser treatment was ineffective despite over 2 years of regular sessions *Hair grew more often and spread to nearby areas *Concerns repeadetly dismissed and blamed on the client Note: During my time there, the machine was updated multiple times. The most recent one did seem slightly more effective, so results may be improving. My advice: the staff are nice, but if you want effective laser results, look elsewhere (it might be pricey but might worth it) or wait until they invest in a better and more effective machine.

Very disappointing. They advertise on Groupon, but don't tell you that they don't treat men until you try to redeem your Groupon. Their advertisement lists "Valid Treatment Areas for Females", but doesn't actually exclude men. It needs to clearly state "We don't treat men. Men, don't buy this Groupon." Super frustrating. Groupon wouldn't offer a refund either because my purchase was past their 3 day refund period.

I went for full face + upper and lower eyelids CO2 laser treatment. First of all there is no upper eyelids treatments because it’s not help.. ( i am 41 years old) My face still healing after 3 weeks, there is absolutely no change still have pigments and under eyes still looks the same.

I enjoyed getting a Fractional CO2 laser at Dermatown. I got it in February of 2025. It was my first time getting a laser done to my face, so I wasn’t entirely sure how to go about it. Fortunately, the customer service was amazing and I felt comfortable getting the laser. I was given detailed instructions of how to care for my face post treatment and they gave me a kit to take home. The kit had directions on them and skin care tools to care for my face. I was also able to send Dermatown daily photos of my face so they could track my progress and guide me on what to do each day as my face was going through the stages of the treatment. Thank you Dermatown for doing this treatment for me and answering any questions I had about it!

Came here after my friend got her face done with great result. I’m 41 and I wanted to improve skin texture and I think it did tighten my skin and minimized pores. We both had good experience with IPL photo facial. Purchased another 6 treatments that’s be total of 12 sessions here with Valya NP. As a fellow Nurse myself I like her professionalism. No frills but knowledgeable, personable and she’s always on time. She also uses good product like Elta MD mineral sunscreen to apply on face post treatment. Flexible with change of schedule last minutes too. Great with communication, she’ll text back right away always. Last time I checked she’s Monday & Sunday off but that may change.

I found Dermatown in Torrance on Groupon looking for B12 injections, but was pleasantly surprised when I found out she offered a broad menu of services and her pricing and quality is unmatched. I have had botox, B12 injections and PRF microneedling with Val and she is very knowledgable and good at what she does. I have had issues with injectors pushing my eyes down or giving me bruises with botox and have never had that with Val. My PRF microneedling was amazing and the recovery was so fast and I can't wait to get another package. She listens and recommends treatments she thinks would be best for you. She's very honest, which I appreciate. She is my go to in the South Bay for beauty treatments!

Very professional and reasonably priced. This business is located inside the Sola salons. I had microneedling done for the first time, and was a little nervous about the pain and recovery time....it actually wasn't painful at all, and I was only red in the face a couple days afterward. I got this done originally for my hyperpigmentation but I was told that it's going to take a few sessions to see results. To my surprise my fine lines above my eyebrows were GONE after the first session! I'll definitely be returning for more treatments.
