This summer, Sherry asked if I would consider laser thinking it would help me finally put an end to my chin hair. I have been going to see Sherry at EMC for over a year, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs either electrolysis or laser. Sherry did electrolysis on me for about a year before convincing me that laser was the way to go. I was very hesitant about the laser as I'd had some bad experiences, but after some research and many conversations with Sherry, I decided to go for it. I couldn't have made a better decision. Sherry is precise and patient, and she really knows what she's doing. She'll answer any questions and always made sure to check in and see how my skin was reacting to the procedures. Overall, a great experience.

I used to have plenty of hair on my under chin and bikini area. I had to tweeze every 6/7 days! I tried everything, and I also tried laser in the past, but Sherry's laser (Lightsheer Diode) is definitely the best one! Very efficient! After the first laser therapy (15 minutes) my hair already stopped growing! Only a few ones appeared! I went 15 days ago for the second therapy and my under chin now looks great! No more hair! The bikini also improved a lot! Sherry has a long experience, trust her!

I am a very happy customer of EMC! When I first moved to DC – I came to EMC for electrolysis. I still come here for electrolysis for specific areas but now after many discussions with Dr. Adamson - I have ventured into laser hair removal . Wow – I wish I had discovered this much sooner! The results are super – I can’t wait until my next vacation when I can lounge poolside or at the beach without any worries! I can’t wait until I can throw out my shaver ☺ After researching types of lasers and costs in the DC metro area, I found out that EMC’s laser (the Light Sheer Diode Laser) is considered the most effective and more importantly is the overall laser treatment is much more budget-friendly. Other places try to sell you packages of sessions with no guarantees of ever completing the hair removal. EMC provides an accurate estimate up-front of the number of sessions and total cost required to complete a specific area. Dr. Adamson (Sherry) has several decades of expertise – she is very thorough, professional and explains the overall process very well. My schedule is quite dynamic and I really appreciate the ability to arrange appointments efficiently with a brief text message. The office is very clean and the appointments are very prompt with no waiting time.

I had an awful experience at EMC Beauty. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I went in for the first time and the office was strange, looked more like a tax office than a beauty clinic. They asked me to fill out a form that asked for my driver's license number and social security number. That was very strange to me considering no insurance was going to be used. I asked the receptionist if the consultation fee would apply to services rendered and he didn't know. I went to see Sherri in the office for permanent eye brow makeup and she showed me photo album (not a brochure, literally photos like your grandma's basement) and said pick which ones you want. I thought that was strange considering I have my own eyebrows and want something custom for my face, not someone else's. Then, when I asked about how the procedure is done and what the cost was, she got nasty and rude continuing to say that she has been in business for 28 years. She also kept changing the prices. I had a feeling that the place was extremely unprofessional and when I left she sent me a series of nasty text messages!!! What kind of business sends a customer harrasing text messages on their phone?! This place is a joke. Never go!!!!
