My sister in law recommended Dr. Whelihan when I told her I was struggling with perimenopause. And what a breath of fresh air. Dr. Whelihan is extremely knowledgeable about perimenopause and women’s health, she had several suggestions to help, but most importantly, she listened and validated my concerns. So often we are dismissed and made to feel like we are crazy or making a big deal out of nothing, when in fact perimenopause is a huge change going on in your body. If you’re a woman and are struggling with perimenopause, I highly, highly recommend Dr. Whelihan.

The office staff communication is very poor, particularly from the billing side. I was informed my insurance was in network and paid copay at the initial visit, and several weeks later was charged close to $300 with no communication as to why. When I called, the billing office representative was extremely rude and dismissive of my feedback. Dr. Whelihan herself provided some helpful information and suggestions, but she did not provide a thorough assessment and dismissed my inquiry regarding labs or other medical evaluations that may be needed. This resulted in her billing a 'problem' visit for my first visit, rather than a wellness visit which would have been more comprehensive (and covered by my insurance rather than as a deductible).

This OBGYN office takes the cake. They are the most personable, professional, and hardworking people in any office setting that I’ve been to. When it comes to such sensitive matters, these are exactly the women that you want taking care of you. I can not tell you how long it took me to find an OBGYN office that made me feel safe, heard, and comfortable. They make it feel like catching up with an old friend (during some really uncomfortable times). The nurses are wonderful and my pal at the front desk always makes my day when I show up! They are genuine human beings. There is so much humility and respect, and it’s deeply appreciated. They are the best at what they do and have helped melt away my fears of anxiety and stress. I truly don’t think there is a better place to come for such vulnerable matters. 10/10 and definitely the best in Palm Beach county. Thank you to the whole team for all that you do! ❤️✨🌷

I saw Dr Maureen years ago, probably 2016. She is the most compassionate doctor I have ever met, she took care of me in one of the most vulnerable moments in my life and helped me with a procedure without charging me extra because I am a nurse and she helped a fellow professional. Due to her not seen obstetric patient she couldn’t be my doctor when I was pregnant but she will be my Gyn from now on. It is hard to find good and compassionate doctors and she will always be in my memory and my heart ❤️

Dr. Maureen Whelihan was simply amazing. My primary said I needed to see a Gynocologist for some things that had her concerned. The practice she had referred me to had recently closed shop and moved 50 miles away. I knew my problem could be urgent so searched for someone else that could take me sooner that 2 to 3 months I stumbled on Elite GYN Care of the Palm Beaches and scheduled a visit with their APRN (The Dr.s earliest availability was months out). Part of the online booking process required you to list reason for visit. Within 3 hours I had a phone call from Elite GYN and they worked it out so that I would see them only 4 days later, and would be seeing Dr Whelihan. A Dr I had never seen made the time to see me, for she felt my problem required immediate attention. This place truly cares. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Whelihan and all who work at the practice. If you have a problem, please don't wait and reach out to Elite GayN Care👍
