I had a question about something that I had a couple years ago and I messaged Evan who I had seen 2 years ago, and she responded within an hour! I have had never experienced being able to communicate with one of my doctors in a timely manner since moving to Florida and I was so grateful for quick her response! Found out that she wasn’t even in the office for that week as well and she still responded.

I was a new patient and my overall experience left me not wanting to return. I was told I was scheduled with a female nurse practitioner, but a male did my exam; the nurse assisting him seemed short and angry with everyone (maybe she was having a bad day?); the doctor/NP that did my exam came in not knowing why I was there and then did my exam super fast. I had questions but he was moving so quickly that I didn’t even get a chance to talk; I was told a prescription was going to be sent to the pharmacy but it was never sent. More of a customer service issue overall. The actual medical care I did receive was done fine.

Mid Florida Dermatology and Plastic Surgery really changed my life. All dandruff is a medical condition of body chemistry and immunology, but I hadn't been to a doctor about mine in a decade, because medicines didn't work on it. The thing about resistant dandruff is it can grow anywhere a person can grow hair, even that invisible fine hair. The first time I walked in to see the practitioner, Evan Chastain, my scalp, face, chest and back all showed inflammation and flaking. My skin wasn't weeping, but it was definitely upset. (See what I did there 😏) The people at Mid Florida Dermatology and Plastic Surgery in Ocoee are truly wonderful from the moment you walk in the door. Ashley S. at the front desk has an encouraging smile and I get the sense she could handle any chaos you threw at her. La'Tiya is the MA who has helped me get set up for my appointments; she listens carefully, asks the right questions, and, again, is incredibly friendly and intelligent. Evan Chastain, APRN, has one of the best bedside manners I have ever seen. She listened while I showed her the medical studies I had researched that gave me the impetus to seek medical help again, then she explained every medication she planned to prescribe and how they could be expected to work with my skin. She brought me samples of the brands of skin care products I could use that wouldn't react with the creams she was prescribing and that would not cause my seborrheic dermatitis to flare up. Every question was answered, and she carefully guided and kept my chattering to a healthy amount. She was brilliant and capable. It seems to be a carefully cultured work environment that every person with whom I have interacted has left this quick-witted and friendly impression. I completed my second appointment earlier today: my face looks better than it has in decades. The skin is clear, and its color is even and healthy. A month ago, I walked into a welcoming and safe environment. Today, I walked into a welcoming and celebratory environment. They had my back, and they will have yours too.

Everything went well at my visit the issue that I am having is the prescription were never called to the pharmacy, I have called a few times weeks apart, left messages with several receptionist. Now it’s been two months and still no medication or a call back. Will I return to this practice more likely not.

We had an appointment on 07/02/2020 at 1.30 pm, I am still waiting for the office of Metrowest to send the prescription to Walgreen, it was supposed to be done an hour later, waited 1 hour and called their 800 number and explain to the customer service, the pharmacist has not received the prescription yet. Friday office closed for the 4th of July holiday. At least it was not an emergency will be looking for another dermatologist. Don’t want to loose my time.
