The providers themselves are excellent—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Unfortunately, the office staff are the complete opposite. Despite giving ample advance notice and asking about the cost of my appointment, I was contacted about a balance only 45 minutes before my scheduled visit. I paid the outstanding balance as soon as I was able to after finishing work, yet my appointment was still canceled at the last minute due to billing and system failures that were entirely the office’s responsibility. When I rescheduled for the next day, the same problems occurred again. Online check-in did not prompt payment for that visit, forcing staff to manually intervene and requiring me to check in multiple times and re-complete forms. Even after I had complied, the office continued calling me to demand payment, including while I was at work. Over two days, I had to arrange childcare twice and disrupt my job, only to be met with rude and unhelpful responses rather than accountability. Most concerning is that this office appears willing to disrupt care and delay medication refills over internal billing errors. Issues caused by their own systems should be resolved after care is provided—not used to penalize patients who acted in good faith. It’s deeply disappointing that such strong providers are undermined by administrative practices that are disorganized, opaque, and harmful to patients. Until the front office improves, I cannot recommend this practice.

Was going to be a new patient... but I was yelled at for being cautious with my information. I should have known before I made the appointment this was going to be a poorly run office. I called three times and left messages before they called me back. I'm visually impaired and I cannot fill out forms on my phone. When I made the appointment the receptionist assured me that I would not have to do that. I waited three weeks for my appointment. When I arrived the office manager basically yelled at me because I objected to using their 'portal.' I had to ask her to lower her voice and speak to me calmly. My last primary care physician did not require it. In fact, This woman told me that they would not have me as their patient if I did not use the portal. She did offer to complete the forms with me, which I reluctantly agreed to because I needed a new prescription. I did not want her to have a copy of my driver's license, as I have previously been the victim of identity theft and she told me to leave. She claimed that her system would not allow her to complete the forms without a copy of my license, which is not true. I asked to speak with the doctor and she refused. While I appreciate that the internet may make things easier for some, that is not the case for everyone and an office manager should not yell at potential patients. I even told her that I was going to write a negative review and she told me to go ahead. If you are older, not tech savvy, or just don't want to be yelled at for needing an accommodation this is not the right doctor for you.

Dr. Sookdeo is a breath of fresh air. She is knowledgeable, proficient and has a warm, compassionate and caring beside manner. I never feel rushed at an appointment. She takes her time with her patients, listens and answers all questions. In addition she is very easy to communicate with on the patient portal.The office staff is efficient and polite. They return my phone calls in a timely manner. You will be very happy if you give the practice a try!!

Dr. Sookdeo is the best doctor I have ever had. I used to see her in Davenport at her old location and when she moved I went somewhere else and had an awful experience. Finally I looked her up and saw she opened her own practice and I made my appointment. My husband, my mom and I all see her and she has helped us all so much. I couldn’t thank her enough. She is patient, kind and caring. I never have an issue communicating with her over the portal or getting an appointment with her. Her staff is very nice and professional. I always recommend her to all my friends and family! We all drive far just to be under her care.

The office team went out of their way to get in touch with me and to schedule an appointment. Dr Sookdeo met with me virtually outside of her work hours and if that wasn’t enough, she didn’t rush the virtual appointment and took time to discuss the information. I have been to the office a few times and was very impressed already. Now I’m even more so! You won’t get this kind of communication, concern, and service from a big name health networks. Small practices like this 1000000%!!!! Thank you for the positive experiences so far!!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sookdeo in Winter Garden for a while, and unfortunately, I’ve had a disappointing experience overall. First, I was told by the front desk that unless you’re the first or last appointment of the day, your scheduled time isn’t really guaranteed. I understand that things can run behind, but I’ve ended up waiting over an hour on multiple occasions. Additionally, I haven’t been impressed with the care. The nurse practitioner I saw didn’t seem to take my concerns seriously, and I didn’t feel heard during my visit. The combination of long wait times and feeling like my health concerns weren’t fully addressed has me considering looking for a new doctor.
