Dr. Christenson is a blessing! I had years of helpful acupuncture and holistic treatment that helped me find the path to wellness, and now Dr. Christenson is helping me advance along that path. She offers comprehensive medical appointments suited to the patient's particular needs. And, she operates using a combination of extensive training and spot-on intuition, always targeting the root of the issue with compassion and understanding. In a world where medicine is dominated by pharmaceutical companies Dr. Christenson is a breath of fresh air, not hesitating to prescribe Western medicine as needed, and also prepared to prescribe herbs and other treatments to really help target and cure the root causes of dis-ease. I have never met a better MD. She accepts many types of insurance, works on weekends which is helpful for busy weekday workers, and operates out of an office that overlooks beautiful mountains, surrounded by the sounds of nature. She is worth every penny that I spend in co-pays - you can't put a price on health! In fact, I refer everyone I know to her because I trust her not only with myself, but also my loved ones as well. She is an honest, fair, and compassionate healer, and I will be forever grateful for her services.

I spent a year with Dr Christiansen working on anxiety, anger and serious depression. She amazed me with her unconditional love and taught me tapping and breathing techniques to help me change my "mind". The fact that the Doctor has a very broad spectrum of healing knowledge which is what I find so valuable in working with her. She is loving but straight forward on how you can get better. She was also always very responsive when I needed prescriptions, calling them in for me. I miss working with her so much now that I am in the states. I find her to be a spiritual teacher(non denominational), a wonderful and knowledgeable doctor. Expense is relative to each individual but I did not have the experience of her charging fees that were unreasonable give the depth of her knowledge and her incredibly gentle and loving approach to working with you, PRICELESS in today's world. You can trust this person with yourself.... but remember no one gets well without participating in their cure.

Dr. Christenson was highly recommended to me by a close friend. I decided to see her to try acupuncture to help with my severe shoulder and neck pain and to help me manage my stress. My pain was so bad, it was difficult for me to sleep and last through the workday. It was really my first time trying acupuncture and I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say that Dr. C is most caring, gentle, generous, thorough, and understanding doctor I've ever met. She is so giving with her knowledge and time and over the course of just 5 months my pain is pretty much gone. Along with the acupuncture, she has taught me tools to help me manage my stress, which also helps to reduce my pain. In regards to cost, I have insurance which covers part of my treatments and I have small co-pays. Overall, I have never had an experience with a doctor where I have to pay so little for so much treatment. I have already recommended her services to many friends and want to extend that recommendation to everyone who reads this review.

The setting is an unusually soft, non-commercialized presence in the private home of Dr. Elizabeth Christensen. Your can design your treatment to improve outer beauty or be helped in your search of overall wellness, peace and tranquility. Dr. Christensen draws from her vast training in both eastern and western medicine. She is on the faculty at the University of Hawaii Medical School. She is also an experienced harpist who was accepted into the Juilliard School. And she uses music therapy in her practice. I came to Dr. Christensen with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, migraines, gastric issues and leg vein insufficiency. I had recently lost my husband to cancer. I decided to sell multiple properties on the east coast, quit my job and move to Oahu with two dogs and a cat. I was in search of a new life, warmth and wellness and I wanted to do it without pills being handed to me for every new symptom. It lead me to Dr. Christensen. In 8 months my cholesterol became normal, my blood pressure medication cut in half and decreasing, I lost 18 lbs and I feel wonderful. My medical problems are vanishing. I work in the field of western medicine and see people living with more and more pills. Take charge of your health. Be motivated. Exercise, eat nutritiously, and learn ways to reduce stress. She is well trained in western and oriental medicine, specializes in Family Medicine and acupuncture and is a faculty member at the Complementary Integrative Medicine Department, John A Burn School of Medicine, University of Hawaii. Her clinic is located in a very serene setting with beautiful view of the Maunawili Mountains Hawaii. She offers comprehensive services, including acupuncture and herbal medicine, which helps to balance the mind, body and spirit to treat complex health issues. She is very kind and compassionate, and she doesn’t just rush through the treatments. She is willing to spend the time listening to your concerns on your health issues and explaining the treatments to you. She offers consultation on nutrition, life style changes, meditation and Qigong exercises. She also provides harp music therapy to help harmonize the mind, body and spirit. I suffer from multiple food allergies and environmental allergies for many years to a point it was affecting my ability to work. I traveled far to see Dr. Christenson for my allergy treatment and she was very thorough in my examination and treatments. She was able to use her western and eastern medical background to provide the quality of care and treatments that I could not have gotten elsewhere. Considering the time and money I spent over the years on western treatments and medications with no real relieve in my allergy symptoms, her charges were very reasonable for what I got in the end—I got back my health and wellness, which is priceless! Dear Dr. Christenson: 1. I felt I have much improvement after you started allergy elimination NAET on me. I know I am not near complete I want you give you some report of the improvement: 1. My stomach pain is mostly gone. I used to have a lot of stomach pain every day and GI doctor gave me Omeprazole which did not improve my pain. They kept tell me to take it. I could not tolerate it and stopped taking it and felt I do not need to go back to him for stomach issue because with NAET treatment and digestive enzyme and Probiotic which were gluten and dairy free I feel t a lot better. Thank you so much. 2. My taste came back about less than one month ago. I started to be able to taste food that I have lost that sensation long time ago. I could taste fish filet I cooked. It was so delicious. I am so happy. I felt I can enjoy eating food from now on. I used to eat just because I have to keep surviving but now I am eating for fun and enjoy my food!
