Had a less than ideal situation with my labor; I loved that Dr Michael was respectful of my wishes and did his best to see to it that we did what we could to keep my original birth plan (an unforeseen emergency came up that required a change). He came highly recommended by a home birth company and it's easy to see why. I hope he never retires - when he does that will be such a sad day!

I have had only positive experiences. Dr. Epstein (who doesn’t do many office visits anymore) and Dr. Michael each delivered one of my children. I was very sad to hear that I couldn’t meet with Dr. Epstein any longer because he was so kind, so gentle, and he loved to chit chat. However, I also love having Dr. Michael as my doctor. He, too, is kind and gentle. He also listens to concerns that may not be related to gynecology. I have gone here for over 15 years.

My mother was saved by this practice when she was in her younger years and facing complicated female issues that her primary just keep brushing off. I have been with Suburban Women's Health Specialists since I was a teenager and they have always taken wonderful care of me. I am now facing a major surgery and I know that I am in the best hands. Dr. Michael has been an exceptional and understanding doctor and I grateful to be one of his patients. I highly recommend this office to anyone who needs help with complicated female issues

I had the privilege and pleasure to be taken care by Dr.Michael and his amazing staff not only in the Algonquin and Elgin location but also at Sherman Hospital. I felt so comfortable being surrounded by amazing people who actually care about their patients. My husband and I are forever grateful with how smooth my transition was from the beginning to the end of my pregnancy with this awesome staff!! Definitely recommend all these Doctors and facility!

I had a very difficult situation with their doctor who was on call in the ER when I was admitted. Dr. Walked in stating I should have chosen a different health option, and my health decisions were incorrect. And suggested a form of delivery without consulting me. I would not recommend this practice for any birthing person who wants a high standard of care. I would even go so far as to see if their physicians are on call at Sherman hospital and go elsewhere. Instead of making our birth treasured it was one of the most traumatic and stressful situations I ever have found myself in.

The doctors are all outstanding but unfortunately their reception and billing are not. All they care about is money. Cindy and Marilyn in billing specifically. They do not know what insurances they accept for one. And they hound you to try and get $400+ payments per month. Who can afford this crazy amount a month ? Especially while pregnant. We don't get paid maternity leave. I was searching for new insurances a few months back and confirmed with the insurance that this office is accepted. Before signing with them I called billing to confirm and was told they don't accept that insurance because it was Public aid . It was NOT public aid. She clearly doesn't have her information straight. So I passed up a $400 a month insurance because I wanted to go here. Come to find out later that Cindy and Marilyn had their information wrong and they in fact did take that insurance. Well now I was stuck in a plan for $800 a month for my son and I (yes, double) and guess what? Same insurance they supposedly didn't take. This is my second pregnancy here . The first one I was not hounded with payments and rejected to schedule. This time around each time they throw a "payment plan" of their choice in my face and ask to me to put a credit card on file. I don't know about everyone else but we cannot afford $489 a month at this time. I offered a lower monthly payment but they rejected . I was told they changed to collecting payment like this because too many people didn't pay and too many accounts were going to collections. So instead of working something out they want to chase you around for payments of that amount and make your anxiety and blood pressure go through the roof. Oh and when I was explaining how I couldn't do that amount a month , Marilyn said " you're the one who switched insurances multiple times ". Hmm who was the one who said they didn't take the one I was going to be on before ? If she would have done her job and knew which insurances were accepted I wouldn't have had to switch again. Again, the doctors are all amazing!!! But for the way their billing staff is, save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. Maybe an office who cares about their patients . I wish I could switch but I am too far in my pregnancy to do so.

This office is wonderful. The doctors and staff are fantastic. They are very kind, helpful and informative. They actually take the time to see you and talk to you. They are there for you and any heath concerns that you may have. They blessed me with caring for me and my extremely difficult pregnancies that would be in the books for sure and saved me and my babies. My only nag would be the financial department could use some working with the patient and trying better for resolutions. I would highly recommend this practice

I loved my first pregnancy experience with SWH. The entire staff, from the front desk/billing, to the nurses, and other doctors were always so welcoming and kind. Dr. Michael was my go to and handled most of my prenatal appointments. He was very calming, caring, and informative. The SWH team genuinely care for mother and child. There is no doubt I will be returning for baby #2!
