From the receptionist at Check in to walking out the door after my procedure was over, everyone was professional and caring. When I checked in I asked for a rubber band for my hair because I’d forgotten a hair elastic. She immediately gave me one of her own so I wouldn’t harm my hair with a rubber band. The nurse that prepped me was friendly, anticipated my needs, and answered all my questions. The doctor was efficient, explained the procedure and asked questions about me which helped put me at ease. The whole procedure took less than an hour, then I was on my way home. I can’t imagine a way this experience could’ve gone any better. Thanks to the kind and caring professionals at Associates in Dermatology in the Meridian Building!

Dr.Cindy Owen lives up to the positive reviews I read, before deciding on her. I had to wait over two months to get in, but absolutely worth the wait!! She is very good and so patient and thorough. There are few doctors offices that I go to, that I write such a good review and I’m so pleased to have got to be a patient of hers. She is by far at the top of my list. If you’re looking for a dermatologist look no further because she is the best!!

She always demonstrates her vast knowledge in dermatology. During appointments, she takes her time to listen and explains everything in easy to understand fashion. I highly recommend Associates in Dermatology… you won’t be disappointed.

I first met with Dr. Brown for my evaluation, and she was amazing! My skin biopsy results came back quickly, and I was scheduled right away with Dr. McCall for my surgery. They walked me through every step of the process and made sure I felt comfortable and informed. Everyone on the team was so kind and helpful—they even called me the day after surgery to check on me. I highly recommend this group!

I was a patient at the Associates in Dermatology Springhurst location and was recently unfairly and unreasonably discharged from the practice due to having five missed appointments over the course of a year — despite the fact that I was willing to pay the missed-appointment fees. What was completely ignored was my real-life circumstance: my husband has been critically ill, in and out of the ICU over the past year with heart attacks and pulmonary embolisms. During that time, many of my own medical needs understandably took a back seat. The practice showed zero compassion or understanding for the fact that I did not always call to cancel — as if anyone would prioritize a dermatology appointment while their spouse was literally fighting for their life. Ironically, there were multiple occasions when the doctor’s schedule changed, appointments were delayed, or I waited over an hour past my scheduled time to be seen. I never complained, even though those delays disrupted my workday and increased the risk of missing other obligations. Apparently, flexibility only works one way. I also want to note that while this practice has many positive reviews, I work in marketing and understand how review gathering works. Management often pressures patients to leave reviews, and not all reviews necessarily reflect the full patient experience. I know the game. To be clear: the medical care itself was good, but the administrative staff and practice policies are rigid, self-centered, and completely lacking in compassion. Life happens. Serious illness happens. This practice has no tolerance for that reality. If you are a caregiver or someone dealing with unpredictable medical or family emergencies, be aware that this office may not meet you with understanding.

Dr. McCall and his team of nurses, assistants, and everyone else top to bottom were excellent. Made me feel very comfortable about my procedure and taking care of my health. Even diagnosed something else that had been bothering me for some time with no results from labs and tests at the hospital. Highly recommend this team for all your Dermatology needs.

Dr Burruss gets me in on time and provides care explaining thoroughly how I am to take care of any procedure she does. Also her nurse assisting was very helpful in scheduling me with an appointment as soon as possible. I appreciate the use of the portal to send pictures as well as using “Clara” for messaging. Thank you!

Every visit with Dr. Anna Hayden at “Associates in Dermatology” has been pleasant, comfortable, and informative. During my recent visit, Dr. Hayden diagnosed a skin irritation on my left foot. She told me what was going on, and what the causes were. She provided recommendations for things I should do differently to care for my skin and also prescribed a medication for the skin irritation. I left feeling relieved that I didn’t have a serious problem. When I was younger, I rarely needed to see a dermatologist, and I have come to know that advanced age often comes with new health challenges. I am comfortable with Dr. Hayden and the expertise she brings as a dermatologist. Mary M.

No waiting. The prep for the procedure was very professionally done and with great concern. My anxiety was quickly resolved by the staff and the procedure with Dr Brown was comforting in his very skilled hands. And the follow up by phone the next day was unexpected but demonstrated how interested and genuinely they are concerned about their patients.
