I have been a patient of Dr Sonnier’s for years and he is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. He listens, and takes his time with every appointment. I highly recommend him! And the staff has been great as well.

This is one of the first dermatologist that I went to that made me feel seen and heard. She took the time to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed out of the door. She also listened to my input and was willing to try the medication I had suggested, even though that wasn’t the first option she gave me. As a nurse who works with lots of doctors, I know a lot of them get offended for asking for a different solution. They take it personally and feel like you are questioning their intelligence. I did not have this experience at this office. I went through 2 doctors at Associates in Dermatology before stumbling on this office and their team. I am so glad that I did.

Terrible, rude, and irresponsible team. I can't get a call back from a nurse or provider, I am mid-treatment, have run out of my medication twice and they don’t bother to check.messages or call back. When I finally got my refill, which the provider had predicted I would need, it was for half the time ahead had specified. I thought the person who called it in and accidentally written 14 count instead of 14 days (twice a day is 28). I called to asked them to remedy this and instead of calling me back they assumed I made a mistake and thought I needed enough until the next appointment. They did not bother to even check their OWN RECORDS, assumed that as a patient, I was confused and didn't even have the decency to get on the phone with me to clarify. UNBELIEVABLE. And when I called back to inquire, the front desk person was dismissive and said I would have to wait for the nurse to discuss it with the medical provider, did not want to send a detailed message, early wanted to get me off the phone as quickly as possible, and even when I expressed that I knew it was not her fault bu that the medical team was not doing their job, she hung up on me!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN TREATMENT WITH A TEAM THIS IRRESPONSIBLE!!!

Dr. Waldman assessed my situation, and it was determined I needed a type of shot to clear up my eczema, and psoriasis. After the shot, I had almost a year of nearly clear skin. Great job guys! See you in another year.

Update 7/29/25: I appreciate the response. The nurse returned my call this morning. Although I'd prefer to see Dr. Sonnier, I now have an appointment for tomorrow with the nurse practitioner, which is better than having to wait until we're well into September. Thank you. I'd like to leave a 5 star review, but I can't and here's why. I have been coming to the 310 East Broadway office since 2002. I'm now 50 years old and at the point at which problems pop up. I have been seeing Dr. Sonnier every year for a check up for many, many years. He's fantastic and thorough, but here's the problem, and it's not a specific problem with him. Only twice since 2002 have I called the office wanting an immediate appointment because of something that I thought was concerning. The second time was today and I got the same answer as I did a few years ago....we can get you an appointment in a couple months. I was forwarded to the nurse's line with the hope of getting in sooner. I left a message, but didn't get a call back. If that's true, then are the long time and loyal patients paying a potentially life threatening cost because the doctor is overbooked? I don't want to find a new doctor, but at the same time, am I really expected to just sit around keeping my fingers crossed because a 5 minute appointment is asking too much?
