When the appointment was made I had no clue I was seeing Melissa Atkinson because my last visit to the Shelbyville office I saw Dr. McAllister. I had a very disappointing experience during my visit with Associates in Dermatology Shelbyville . The appointment with Melissa Atkinson, PA-C, and the care I received was far below acceptable standards. The PA-C was cold and unfriendly, made no effort to communicate, and did not explain or reassure me about the reason for my visit. The appointment felt rushed and careless rather than professional. After receiving my injections, my injection sites were not cleaned at all. I had blood running down my foot and had to ask her to wipe it off. To make matters worse, I was handed five Band-Aids and told to apply them myself. She then left the room. This was extremely uncomfortable and made me feel neglected, and patient care should be a priority. I left feeling that my concerns and well-being were not important. This level of care is unacceptable. I would not recommend her to anyone seeking attentive, respectful, and proper medical treatment, and I will not be returning to see her. I will be seeing Dr. Burruss or Dr. McAllister on my next visit. Both of these ladies have been nothing but amazing when I’ve seen either one. I would highly recommend Burruss or McAllister. Sorry for the long review but I had to share.

They suck. I scheduled an appointment over the phone and gave them all of my information a couple of months ago. Then when I got there today, after driving 40 minutes, they told me that they don’t accept my insurance and that I’m the second person this has happened to. The lady at the desk acted like well, not my problem, sorry about your luck.

Staff and doctor very nice but OMG trying to get anyone to respond to a question is an exercise in futility!! Have left multiple messages on MA/PA voice mail. As yet no reply. Not acceptable. I think I will probably find another dermatologist. Part of being a good practitioner is responding to patients. Doesn’t seem to be a priority here.

Would have been 5 stars but there was a long wait time sitting in the exam room with my paper gown on . The staff was friendly, thorough, and professional.The facility was clean and comfortable. The treatment was quick and painless. So my only negative was due to their possible over scheduling.

This was my first time visiting a dermatologist, At this office (Shelbyville Ky), everyone was fast, friendly and focused on me. My wait was maybe about 5 minutes, Katie Cregor was my Dermatologist, she asked about my concerns, was very professional, as well as doing an evaluation of my body rather than just the spot I went in for. This made me feel a lot more confident of her work and my diagnoses. Which thankfully ended up not being bad and was treated in her office. I would recommend everyone I know to them, and I will definitely continue to go here for my checkups.
