I have been to numerous dermatologists and esthetician’s, they referred me product after product that just didn’t do anything for me. My goal has always been to create a skin care regime that will slow aging, and keep my skin balanaced and smooth/soft. My skin was always very dry to the point where it would hurt to get out of the shower if I didn’t moisturize quick enough. I went to see Shaina at Dr. Pelias’s office on a wim and it was the best decision ever. They offer a free consult where shaina will take images of your skin and really listen to your concerns and goals. She wrote me a skin care regime and I slowly implemented. She was so attentive and knowledgeable about all products on the market. She didn’t recommend all of Dr. Pelias skin care line either which to me, shows that she is really thinking about the ingredients and how they will react with my skin. The products she did recommend for me were not super expensive which I can appreciate. I have enjoyed working with Shaina and she has TRANSFORMED my skin in just a few months. Every time I look in the mirror I cannot believe that my skin looks and feels as good as it does. I would highly recommend Shaina at Dr. Pelias’s office!

I have received their dermaplane, microdermabrasion , and chemical peel procedures of a year now and have experienced real results. I really let Shana (esthetician) & Dr. Marilyn Pelias persuade me on using hydroquinone on my face. They told me that it would work best on my face because it is a highly potent clinically pharmaceutical formulation from Dr.Pelias herself. I am so DISAPPOINTED in letting these ladies fool me. The $95 ageless fading cream (which you cannot REFUND OR RETURN) darkened my skin even more!!! I use Elta MD sunscreen LITERALLY EVERYDAY & REAPPLY. I am a skin type 6 & just wanted to lighten only the areas of my skin that was affected from acne. It's been two weeks & my face is a shade DARKER!!! I'm rarely in the sun because I know that I am using hydroquinone on my face. I'm just so disappointed in myself . I knew using hydroquinone is dangerous especially researching & watching other black women explaining their stories on social medias & YouTube how doctors & estheticians push this agenda that it is allegedly safe for black women or any women from skin type 4-6. It is not safe nor healthy for anyone. I knew I was getting played especially in this office. I really wanted to TRUST them with MY SKIN troubles because of their good reviews & I thought they were different from the rest of the other offices in New Orleans. Unfortunately, they are all the same & better at persuading you, but don't genuinely help. Women of color please don't fall in the same mistakes, just use natural products that's more reliable than going to the doctors office. At least it's natural & safe for our skin type.

this woman does not know what she's doing, had me lay down to inject facial fillers under my eyes, put it in the wrong place and didn't inject it deep enough creating a discoloring. She hit a vein, creating a blue grey bulging shadow at the corner of my eye that curved down around my under eye area. she left me looking a freaking mess. i went to another local cosmetic practitioner to have it all fixed. Thats another story.... Id recomend anyone else in town before sending anyone to this lady, unless she opens her practice for free to get the experience she needs!!!! best wishes to all wanting to get the results they're looking for!
