I showed up 5 minutes late for my already reschedule appointment (never should have opened the door for the elderly woman down the hall), and was rudely told that my appointment was cancelled and I’d have to reschedule. When I asked why, the front desk receptionist dismissively told me they had already moved onto the next patient and had a full schedule for the day. All because I was 5 minutes late. I was then told by another woman “it’s our policy and it’s written on the door”. Yes, it was, along with several other unnoticeable signs. If 5 minutes makes that much of a difference, it signals to me that patients are simply time slots, and not real people. This isn’t a barber shop and I’m not going for a haircut. This is my health and my body we are talking about. At no point was I told to come early for check in or paperwork, nor was I aware of their “five minute window” rule. They could have mentioned this when they called to confirm my appointment, but nope. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I do not appreciate a rude front of house! They made me feel unwelcomed and embarrassed. Quite the opposite of how you should feel showing up for a gyno appointment. Had the woman been kinder about my tardiness I would have been ok with rescheduling. Yes, I was in the wrong but 5 minutes is absolutely ridiculous. At the end of the day - there’s nothing special about this practice except for its rude front of house and stuffy pretentious vibes.

I stumbled upon google reviews for Women's Health Associates when I googled to see if I could pay my bill online. I was taken aback by the negative reviews! Dr. Geralyn Leone has been my (OB)Gyn for like, 20+ years, she delivered my daughter who is now 17. Dr. Leone and her entire staff, through the years, particularly the long-time RN, Sherry and office manager, Bernadette have provided excellent care and service to me. They're extremely attentive and listen so well to allay all my crazy concerns because I fear pain and poking a prodding so much, lol. If I could give this practice 10 stars I would.

Do not go. They will straight up LIE to your face about the pain you will experience. My second gyno appointment ever was here for a colposcopy. I didn't know anything about the procedure and was nervous so I asked if it would hurt. Both the doctor AND the nurse (the only two people I saw for this appointment) told me I would experience no pain or just slight pressure. On the table, they proceed to take a METAL HOLE PUNCHER to my cervix with no numbing, no pain medication, and no warning. I almost threw up AND passed out on the table and they continued as I laid they crying, punching out MULTIPLE holes of my cervix, then gave me a pantliner and told me to drive home. I could barely walk and I bled and felt severe pain for days. I will never return to this location and would like to also remind you, dear reader that blatantly lying to a patient about the pain you will experience during a medical procedure is a breach of informed consent and is considered medical malpractice and is ILLEGAL. I have attached a photo of the device used to rip off chunks of my flesh during this procedure (via a google search of instruments used for colposcopies) and, given that it looks like a medieval torture device, I fail to see how the doctor who went to medical school would overlook this as potentially painful.

They lied to my sister about the pain she would experience during her appointment as well as lied about insurance covering the procedures done on her(spoiler alert: they were never covered and now she has to pay few hundreds dollars). If I could give 0 starts I most definitely would.

The way that Jerry Leone treated my mother was horrifying. They slashed her HRT and her symptoms spiked, she suffered for weeks. Her insomnia, hot flashes, brain fog and other symptoms got out of control. Instead of making herself available to discuss this with my mother, the office manager was used as a gatekeeper keeping my mother from speaking to her doctor to discuss her severe symptoms.
