I had a breast augmentation with this Dr back in 2021 (only 3.5 years ago). Prior to surgery and the surgery itself went great. Surgery was in a beautiful new facility in Shrewsbury and Dr Ekstroms bedside manner was great. My issue is that my breasts were deformed and I knew right away. I have emails going all the way back from 3 days after surgery to even six months later. At 3 months she told me all my concerns would eventually not exist and that I just needed to let them heal for longer. At my six month checkup the problems still existed. She told me “these concerns are normal you just need more time to heal”. She closed her office and I decided to get a second opinion. I went to one of the best surgeons in the world and he said exactly what I thought. My breast augmentation was never performed correctly, the muscle wasn’t cut enough which gave a deformed look to my left breast and both implants looked like they had been bottomed out for a very long time. I’ve had to live with these hideous breasts for years when I knew from day one they were wrong. Always trust your gut and always get a second opinion.

After having 7 babies over 12 years, breastfeeding, gaining and them loosing 75lbs my body was certainly in a challenging position. When I turned 45 and the kids where older I decided it was time to focus on tackling goals, but I was lost as to where to start. When I first met Doctor Ekstrom, she talked through all my ambitions with me. The weight loss had left me with extra skin that as she so accurately described had me “feeling like I had cloths on that were too big”. I had so many questions around how to battle the challenges of aging with all the things I wanted to finally improve. She discussed what really bothered me, ask me questions that helped me think through what I wanted to tackle and why and then built a plan. It was one journey at a time getting to where I felt like myself again, but it was so worth it. I’m truly grateful to Doctor Ekstrom she was honest with me through each operation she didn’t just try to fix me or let me jump into unnecessary procedures. She helped me understand my own body anatomy and why some things are just who I am. The office staff was professional, fun, trustworthy and extremely helpful. They even helped me find non-surgical procedures that worked for me when surgery was not necessary.
