My adult son who is deaf asked for ADA accommodations for an ASL interpreter prior to his appointment and was told that “our office does not provide this”. It could have been as simple as a low cost virtual interpreter or agreeing to written communication for check in and communication with the medical technician. What they really meant to say was, we will roll our eyes or leave the exam room without explanation if you ask us to do anything to accommodate access, even something as simple as writing back and forth which does not cost a thing. It also meant that they would repeatedly ask him questions after he told them repeatedly that he was deaf and did not understand their spoken words. With the exception of the lovely PA who did her best to support him, staff in this office were unprofessional and disrespectful. We received a call from the office today with a recommendation to go elsewhere for treatment. He was in the middle of a course of treatment. Not that he wanted to return after two visits, but their response to his needs was in line with the disrespectful manner in which he was treated. I have to wonder what the ACLU would say about the discriminatory behavior of this practice. I prefer to handle situations like this in a private and respectful manner as an open minded discussion generally results in mutual understanding and positive results for all. Folks who have never had the pleasure of knowing or interacting with someone who is deaf are often unsure of what to do or are hesitant to interact for fear of making a mistake and they do not understand that reasonable ADA accommodation requests are not optional. Compassion and a willingness to support his needs would have prevented this bad review. However, that did not happen and I truly hope that no one else ever has to experience this inexcusable treatment. Every time you treat an adult with a disability in a manner exclusive of their human basic rights, you are infantilizing them, minimizing their worth and reinforcing that they are not equal to their non-disabled peers.

I highly recommend this place! From the moment I called to schedule an appointment, I felt completely at ease. The staff was incredibly helpful, and Dr. Seth Kates was exceptional. He was honest and realistic about my forehead scar and provided a consultation that was both positive and reassuring. His kindness and professionalism truly stood out—doctors like him are rare. I sincerely appreciate the excellent care I received.

Couldn’t be more happier with the results! I did EXACTLY what Stephanie told me to do and my face cleared up well! I’d recommend them to anyone, Thank you for helping me and restoring my confidence! Photos: you‘ll see how I arrived and 3 months later. I’m going to leave my original review up as I think it’s a fair assessment of my initial visit. *** 3.5 STARS *** To understand why I am leaving 3 stars PLEASE read the ENTIRE review. This is NOT a bad review, I had a positive experience. I'm leaving 3 stars as treatment has not been completed. This is not like a restaurant where I paid for a service, got what I wanted, and that's it. I will update the review once the follow up/treatment which was rendered for the case has been completed. Review: This place was cool. My appointment was at 11:50am with Stephanie. I waited about 40min to get seen, but you're always going to have to wait when at the doctors so I didn't care about that. I paid out of pocket for the visit. I will say when I made the appointment and asked how much it would be to get a consultation for acne management I was told $150... After the exam I was told it was $225 and that it starts at $150. That's not what I was told, but I have no proof to back that up, so it is what it is. That being said I don't care about the money, I found that Stephanie was good, I felt that she was laid back, professional, straight to the point, and wasn't too concerned with what I was experiencing ( I felt this in a good way! ) and it made me more comfortable as I'm sure she's seen a plethora of cases like mine. Before arriving to WDA: It felt like I couldn't go a few days without a breakout. Acne like this is new for me. I had some as a teenager, nothing serious, but for some reason as I head into 30 this year for the past 7 months I've had mild, painful acne breakouts. After trying several things, I said screw it and went searching for a dermatologist. I expressed my concerns to Stephanie about breakouts, scaring, and just lack of overall confidence due to this. She prescribed a topical ointment for morning and night, some oral medication, gave me some samples to try, and told me to stop what I was using. I went straight home and threw the products I was using in the trash. After visiting WDA: So far so good! 1st week in MONTHS without a new pimple. I ditched everything I was doing before, I've been following her instructions, and I'm chalking not breaking out this week as a little win. I have patience and confidence that the 3 month follow up will be a big difference, hoping to see some scaring gone too. I will update the review with before and after pictures on the follow up date.

Super friendly!! In and out quick, and my doctor had great bedside manor, and put me at ease. He was very realistic on the timeline in which he would get back to me with results. His parting words to me were "with any luck I'll call you on Friday, with no luck I'll call you on Monday. Whatever it is... We'll fix it" ... Very reassuring words!! Thank you!!

Had a scheduled appointment and waited in the waiting room more than 40-minutes, then another 15-minutes in the exam room. I walked out. They seem to believe that their time is more important than my time. I also have a busy schedule with appointments to keep. They make a big point to confirm your appointment by phone and text and let you know that you will be charged for a no-show. Well, I got there early and their service for me was a no-show. These folks are overbooked and you will wait, and wait, and wait regardless of your appointment time. I don't know about the quality of their care as I NEVER SAW ANYONE. I suggest finding a more reliable dermatologist.

Greetings. This was my first visit to this office. The lobby was busy with many patients waiting for their appointments. However, my wait was not long and I was seen in a timely manner by Dr. S. Kates. I received good advice from the doctor and my issue was resolved. Too, the office was clean and organized.
