100 🌟s!! I went to Pura Vida after receiving a nitro treatment at a certified dermatology clinic in Howard County that left me with very noticeable scars. Dr. Apgar sat down with me and LISTENED to my concerns and didn’t rush to offer me a treatment and take my money. That’s what made trust them initially. After my initial consultation, I was assigned to Allison for my 3 micro-needling sessions. Allison is amazing to say the least. She made me feel safe and comfortable every single time. Both Allison and Dr. Apgar empathized with me and showed a lot of compassion for what I’d been through without making empty promises. Dr. Apgar took her time to educate me about my skin’s genetic predisposition, and Allison was extremely careful while doing the treatment always making sure I was doing ok. Considering that time is our most valuable asset, I can honestly say that Dr. Apgar and Allison truly over delivered and they exceeded all my expectations. It’s been a few months after my treatment and my scars are completely GONE, helping me gain my confidence back. I will be a client forever! The staff at this location is top notch! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I never felt judged and they always treated me like a high value customer. Thank you everyone!

I was really hoping for a relaxing and professional facial, but my experience here fell short in several ways. From the start, the technician didn’t ask about my skin concerns or what I was hoping to address during the facial. There was no explanation of the steps, the products being used, or what to expect. She was extremely quiet the entire time, which made the service feel disconnected rather than relaxing. During the first mask, it sat on my face longer than usual. The room was silent, and unlike other facials I’ve had, there was no arm, hand, or shoulder massage during the wait time. When the second mask was applied later in the treatment, it again stayed on for a long time, and when I looked up to see what was happening, the technician was behind me on her phone. That really made me feel ignored and not taken care of. The extraction portion was also very minimal — she only focused on my nose and a small area on my forehead. She didn’t touch my chin or other areas that typically get congested during a facial. For the price, I expected a thorough and attentive experience. Overall, it felt like she was just going through the motions rather than providing a thoughtful service. I had actually booked a facial for my mom the next day, but I canceled it after this visit. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn’t return

I have been a patient here for 2+ years and I cannot recommend the staff and level of care more highly. Pura Vida cares about helping heal the bad psychology we live with when scars or other cosmetic issues dominate our self-esteem. I have lived with facial acne scarring for over 25 years. I have tried every gimmick. I have been so disappointed over the years with things that did nothing. The treatment plan (laser treatments, RF micrneedling) has delivered so much value for my money (which I do not have a lot of!) - I am grateful beyond words for how awesome I now look at 48!!!!
