I was diagnosed with Basal cell carcinoma in October 2025. I went through a series of 13 radiation treatments over a seven-week period. In February 2025 I was seen by Dr. Verghese and he confirmed the cancer had been eradicated. Christie, who performed the treatments, was very professional and personable and the process couldn’t have been easier. I’m extremely happy with the care I received from Mid-Atlantic Skin Care.

It is always a pleasant experience. Whether it is an annual body check or having a few moles removed it is done in a timely manner with professionalism. Side note, I had two moles in my face that needed to be removed and stitched up and I would 100% do it over again. My favorite medical location because we never have to wait more than 3 minutes, they are on time all the time.

Update: This place gave me tissue atrophy and now I have indents on my scalp due to their misuse of injections!! NO ONE informed me of ANYTHING and now I have to deal with indents all over my scalp :) My scalp is ruined and now I have to go to a specialized dermatologist and this could take A YEAR to fix. I just hope someone out there reads this and listens to me. The positive reviews are misleading!!! Original review: I left this office in tears. I don’t understand how this place has so many glowing reviews, and that’s why I feel the need to write this. I chose this office based on those reviews, thinking I’d be in good hands. But my experience was the complete opposite. It was awful. The NP who did my procedure had absolutely no bedside manner. I wasn’t given any explanation of what was about to happen, what to expect, how it would feel, or how to take care of myself afterward. She just came in, stuck me with needles and injections and left. There was no communication, no reassurance, not even a single word about what was being done or whether the amount of pain I was feeling was normal (there’s no way it was). I sat there in the chair crying because it hurt so much and I had no idea if something was going wrong. She didn’t comfort me or even seem concerned. All she said was “I’m almost done,” but she wasn’t even close. And as soon as she finished, she just said “okay, see you in 6 weeks,” and walked out leaving me sitting there still crying with no instructions, no aftercare guidance, and blood spots all over my scalp that stayed visible for almost a week. I was so embarrassed, I didn’t even want to go out in public. The whole thing left me shocked, confused, and really disheartened. I came in hoping to fix something I’m really insecure about, and I left feeling worse and defeated. And I want to be clear that I am not someone who cries easily. I’m usually tough and I can tolerate pain, I’m literally covered in tattoos and piercings. So I know this whole experience felt very wrong and it was not okay. This is not normal. This is not how a procedure should be done, and this is not how a patient should ever be treated. I honestly don’t know if I even want to continue trying to get help for this issue because I’m so discouraged. All I know is that I will never go back to this place again.
