I went to Dr. Honig twice after being diagnosed by other dermatologists. The first appointment she saw me for less than 15 minutes and prescribed the medication I was previously taking. I was very excited that she was quick to solve my issues. However, at my following appointment she prescribed a new medication that, after doing some research, I was not comfortable taking. When I told her office that I didnt take the prescribed medication, they told me that I didn't need to come in for my next scheduled appointment, and that I would just come back when I had an issue. When I had an issue, I called their office multiple times and left multiple voice messages. No one ever responded to my voicemails or returned my several calls. So I was left to assume that I was dropped as a patient because I refused to take a medication that was prescribed to me.

I have been seeing Dr Honig for about 27 years. Her and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Dr Honig is an excellent doctor in the field of Dermatology. She is so professional and friendly. If I didn’t enjoy seeing her once a year I certainly wouldn’t be returning. Like I said, 27 years with Dr Honig.

Very pleased to get a fast appointment in 1/2023 however the doctor came in, didn’t even introduce herself or let me speak said I called in a RX and left. I didn’t know the appt was over. I had more things to discuss. The RX worked and I booked an appointment with my PCP for the rest since I was due for a physical. I should have learned my lesson but I didn’t. Glad the RX worked though! Oh there’s more! I returned 9/2024 with a new list. One really serious spot on my skin that I won’t give the details here on as it’s gross. Then I had new spots that worry me a ton. I really need to check my skin health. The medical assistant just got in the room and I only got to tell her the first issue when Honig busted in, didn’t say a word, the assistant looked scared and left without comment. The assistant only had time to write one thing down. The doctor said I’m writing a RX for that and went to walk out. Based on last time I said are you leaving because we are done. She said yes. I said I have other items and she said well you didn’t tell the medical assistant. I said ok well I have a few other serious spots and that I’m not going to be seeing another doc soon. I just saw my PCP the day prior due to my disability. I could not use my leg. She said and I quote “well you got here didn’t you, I don’t see a disability”. She has no idea I was just bed ridden for 10 days and her front desk saw how hard it was for me to get in the door. So I responded and said not all disabilities can be noticed while one is seated and she turned around and walked out. I sat waiting. She never returned. I went to the front desk and told the lady that the doctor walked out during the appointment so I don’t know if it’s over and she said she would not know that. I said well she said you’d call in my RX but never asked for pharmacy info. The lady said well I can’t call it in if you don’t give me the name of it. I said I was not given the name and I don’t even know if my appt is over. She went and got the name and called it in. She then told me the doctor had to get off by 2:45 and I was the last appt so she didn’t have time to discuss the other matters. Honig is very rude, cuts you off while you’re speaking, won’t put refills on and order forcing you to return, no bedside manner, nasty attitude. My first bad review ever on a physician in my 50 years of life. Do not see this doctor! Complete disaster.

Dr. Honig has been my dermatologist for many years. Her practice runs on schedule, which I appreciate. She knows what she is doing. She is efficient and caught a basal cell cancer on my nose was no one would have noticed. She biopsied it, called and told me I needed to go to a MOHS surgeon and gave me suggested referrals. The team at Hopkins was amazing!! If you are warm and friendly to the front desk staff you will receive kind and courteous treatment. I have NEVER had a problem with Dr. Honig or her staff. I have not experienced any of the issues people have reported here. I'm not saying they didn't happen, I'm just saying a patient's attitude is everything. I always refer Dr. Honig to my friends, and everyone I know is happy with her. She does not over schedule so it's important to arrive on time with all your paperwork.

I recently had a first time appt with Dr B. Honig. The procedure went fine. Dr was nice. After a couple of days where the growth was removed turned red, itchy, bumpy. Office was closed Friday. Couldn't talk to anyone and no after hours number left on their message. Called July 15 th and office closed at 3. Left message of my emergency.Called next day to let staff know my procedure site was red itchy and bumpy. Rude staff person never gave me a chance to say why I was calling and immediately talked over me and stated that someone was only calling to give pathology report of biopsy. She talked for several minutes before I could say a word. I asked if I could please say something. Rude staff worker say " yeah, plesssssse do . By this time I asked" just have Dr Barbara Honig to please call me. She said "she's only going to tell you about biopsy report. "This lady I don't think ever heard me say I was having reaction from the procedure site. Three days later, still in discomfort and no phone call from doctor. 😢 Staff person unprofessional, not a good listener and just plain rude and unprofessional.

She has good training (Hopkins.) Unfortunately, she has become more a money-making machine than a physician. She is rushed, clearly not the least bit interested in hearing what might be relevant history, and ending up making the wrong diagnosis in my case, to the point that I put up with discomfort for a year, following her hurried, misguided suggestion, before I saw someone who is interested/competent. She rushes from room to room, practicing assembly line "medicine," (at very high reimbursements for simple procedures.) Also, (I am a physician myself) I found it clearly inappropriate when she did not want me to remove my shorts for my annual full-body melanoma check. One can of course have a melanoma anywhere. This is grossly below an acceptable level of care.

Went to Dr. Honig a few years ago and I was impressed with the efficiency of the office and I felt well taken care of by the doctor and the nurse. I faint easily and the nurse and doctor were very patient and caring while I struggled with some fears I had. I felt confident in Dr. Honig’s assessment and advice. I’d recommend her to anyone needing a dermatologist. She knows her stuff!

Dr. Honig has very poor bedside manner. During my recent visit she spent a total of 3 minutes with me. She was completely disengaged and didn't give me a chance to share my thoughts/feelings. I've been to other dermatologists in the past and I have had completely different experiences. I will not be returning to her in the future.

My wife went to visit Dr Honig and the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. She even left her scarf and they came running out in the cold to get back to her. Dr Honig is a great doctor who gives you the time needed to address any concerns.
