I went to Dr. Hern over 25 years ago in high school and had an amazing experience (she was the kindest doctor I’d ever been to), and started coming back for myself about 8 years ago and then eventually for my children, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice! My son has severe psoriasis and has been receiving Xtrac laser treatments and topicals which have been absolutely life changing for him. I started bringing him here after a pediatric dermatology specialist coldly disregarded my concerns about prolonged steroid use for his treatment (among other negative experiences), and by complete contrast, the doctors at Lifetime were extremely considerate about these concerns, as well as my reservations about biologics at my son’s young age (9). They were compassionate and kind and listened to every word I said, even bringing in other PAs on staff to deliberate with during his initial evaluation, and worked with me to come up with a treatment plan that continues to work wonderfully for him almost four years later. I have also brought my other children for various minor issues over the past several years, and continue to receive treatment here myself. We have primarily been seeing Katie, who continues Dr. Hern’s legacy of exceptional and comprehensive listening to concerns and providing the utmost in compassionate, gentle, and highly skilled care—she is amazing! I also want to acknowledge the rest of the staff at this practice (especially Andy and Lisa), because every single individual we’ve interacted with has been wonderful, which is extremely rare in my experience. There have been doctors I have loved but whom I dreaded appointments for because some (or most) staff members were so unfriendly—but that has never been the case here. ALL of the front office staff—as well as the nurses, medical assistants, and PAs—are warm, welcoming, kind, caring, and truly professional. The entire office (front and back) is immaculately clean and I love the crisp, modern decor; the entire place is well organized, and aesthetically very pleasant and comfortable. We rarely wait more than a few minutes to be seen for any appointment, nor do I wait long once in a room, which demonstrates to me that their planning, communication, and treatment are efficiently coordinated and executed by all members of staff. I have never once felt like I’m an inconvenience to anyone here either, and I genuinely look forward to appointments and seeing so many friendly faces. Again, I cannot say enough wonderful things about this exceptional practice and would give them ten stars if I could!

This was my first time at the office and I cannot express how exceptional my experience was! Before my appointment date, the phone communication between the staff and myself was great. Every time I called before my appointment or if the office had to give me a call, it was always very clear and organized. Every single person at the office was so kind and happy to be there. PA Jessica McDougall was one of the most pleasant medical professionals I’ve come across in a while. She sat down and talked with me for some time, informed me of everything, explained thoroughly, and really made me feel she was happy to help.
