I was looking for a skin aesthetic clinic closer to me so I do not have to commute down to Raleigh for my treatments. I was looking to schedule microneedling with PRP, as this is a service I have had multiple times and know my skin responds very well to. However, to book with this practice, you have to do a consult (which I understand for first-time patients), BUT they charge you $100 per consult. I've been to plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and aesthetic clinics all over, and the standard practice is to put the consult fee toward the service. I called to confirm if this was the case, and was told that, apparently, for any procedure that is not a “same-day procedure,” the consult fee does not apply. Doesn’t really make sense, does it? Skin care and maintenance are services and products I invest a lot of money in, and I would have loved a closer clinic, but I find how they handle their consult fees to be incredibly tone-deaf. I hope this review helps someone else looking to book a consult! ❤️

This was my first visit to Aesthetic Solutions and I was very pleased with the practice from the receptionist at the front desk who greeted me through the check out process. Dr Ishii was great and spent time discussing what I was interested in improving and what she thought the best options were to achieve my goals. I was able to have a few options completed at my appointment and will return for Fraxel Laser. Kacie who assisted Dr Ishii was very calming and made me feel relaxed.I am a health professional with many years of experience and I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Cox is awesome as an aesthetic–focused dermatologist, as a well informed, up-to-date clinician even outside the area of her immediate professional focus, and as a kind, extremely helpful human being. She has an artist’s touch with fillers, Botox, and Sculptura, and I am confident entrusting my face to her. I am regularly told that I look younger than my age, which is thanks to her magic. Since I have seen her last, I have been in a major accident and have third degree burns over a third of my body. When I saw Dr. Cox today for my long standing appt for my 5th Scuptra, she took an active interest in my burn scars, evaluating them in detail, recommending that I see one of the world experts in burn management and providing a referral. She took photos to send to that person, to whom I had not been referred by the Burn Center at UNC. Dr. Cox talked about newer treatments of burns being used in conjunction with the fractionated lasers that are already being used on me. The point isn’t that burn specific advice would pertain to many people, but that Dr. Cox has kept up with this aspect of dermatology, far afield from conventional cosmetic interventions. She keeps up broadly, which, as in my case, can be a real benefit to her patients. Dr. Cox went out of her way to help me for a problem outside of the reason for which I was scheduled to see her today. She spent at least twice as much time as was scheduled for my appointment today to help me deal with this new and absolutely devastating problem.Her broad knowledge base and her advocacy and kindness underscore what a great physician she is. I strongly endorse her and I and I am very happy that she is my doctor!
