A situation arose, not an emergency but one causing me unnecessary stress. I called my dermatologist office for an appointment and they had nothing available till January. After a couple of days I decided this couldn't wait. I checked the zocdoc app and there were several dermatology offices with immediate availability. After a careful review I chose Melissa Mele-Delgado of the Schweiger Dermatology Group. I scheduled an appt convenient to my busy schedule. Upon arrival I felt welcomed at the office; I didn't have to wait long for my pre-evaluation or the Doctor to evaluate me and recommend a treatment. It's been a week since my first appt with Melissa and I am so very happy, less stressed. My concern was understood and addressed with positive results. And during the pre-evalution I was asked if there were any other concerns and after hesitating I said yes. You see the stress of the situation caused my autoinflammatory condition to flare up. This too was addressed and is currently being managed. I am so looking forward to my follow up visit with Melissa. I'm almost 74 and with age comes other medical and mental health issues. I'm confident the dermatologucal issues I experience will be managed with the care of Melissa and her team.

I absolutely love Melissa (my incredible provider) and the office staff (thanks Collin for always being awesome). The medical side of this practice is the best. That said, the billing department has been a consistent frustration. I’ve had multiple issues with incorrect or confusing bills and it often takes several calls to get things sorted out. Don’t even bother calling the general number, they are useless. The only person who has ever helped was Collin at the northtowns office. Doesn’t matter if it is insurance covered or private pay, it can be a total nightmare. It’s disappointing because the care itself is excellent, but the billing process really takes away from the overall experience. If they could get the billing side running as smoothly as the rest of the office, this place would be perfect.

Be careful about who are you consulting, while fixing the appointment. They will often assign you with a nurse for consultation without your permission. Northtown staffs are very rude, are not respectful of patients' time, even when they are not attending other patients, but are just visibly goofing around. Finally and most importantly, they recommend medicines which are not FDA approved for particular age range like boys under 18. Stay alert and don't just take the medicines they have prescribed without consulting a second expert or verifying the directions in the medicine covers.

I had a great experience at Schweiger Dermatology. I saw Kierstin Cohen NP, and was pleased to be under her care. She was patient, listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and set me at ease during my appointment.

This dermatology office demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism and continuity of care. I was prescribed spironolactone, a medication that requires consistent management, yet I had to contact the office repeatedly by phone, patient portal, and text just to obtain a refill. Despite this, my pharmacist submitted refill requests on my behalf at least five times, all of which were ignored. Because of this lack of response, I was forced into inconsistent use of the medication without guidance or warning, resulting in avoidable hormonal rebound side effects and significant distress. Patients should not have to chase a medical office for essential medication refills or suffer preventable consequences due to administrative neglect. I would strongly caution others to seek care elsewhere.

I had a horrible experience at Schweiger Dermatology. I went for a consultation about a few facial cosmetics procedures including under eye filler, neck tightening and removal of lip lines. I was hopeful about dermal filler under my eyes for which I was quoted $800 and scheduled that appt for following week. Before beginning Ms Delgado said that she had told me 2 vials “may be” needed, and I was very upset at double the cost, I insisted I would have remembered $1600 as opposed to $800 cost. She did half of one eye and showed me the progress so I could see that the one vial clearly would not have much result, so I said go ahead with 2 vials and get it over with. She finished my left eye, I said I expected a more noticeable difference and she put more filler under the left eye - which created a lump, so much she pointed it out to me and I could clearly see for myself. She offered a 15% discount and so I ended up paying $1360 that day (previous consult had been $125 and I bought face cleanser and lotions another 125). Her deceptive practices, and her inexperience or just lack of skill at performing this procedure, has left me very upset and depressed. My eyes are worse than before this office visit as I now have 2 noticeable BAGS under my left eye and the right eye has barely changed.

The medicine you gave me is amazing! No itching and the big open wound on my ankle is looking so good. However I really hope I won't have permanent scars on my legs . Great service you have no idea how happy I am. To think my own Dr. Wouldn't even see me and I've been going through hell for the last five months. Would you be able to send me something stating that is NOT contagious, my friend is Leary as she has had cancer 3 times I would like to reassure her. Thank you

No respect for people's time! I had one appointment canceled 20 minutes before the appointment time, at my rescheduled appointment I was left waiting for more than 40 minutes (first thing in the morning). I was late for work and could not wait any longer and did not end up seeing the provider.
