The iPad ran out of battery @ the last question…. & I’m not good with computers @ all. Miss Christine kindly finished the questions for me. Much appreciated! Least painful tattoo removal session Ive had -- and that's after 10 sessions at another practice. I've only had one session with Dr Chien, but can already tell the results, technique and service will are far superior than the last place I went to. Dr Chien came highly referred by two close friends for tattoo removal so I am very optimistic.

I visited Dr Chien's office for a consult on cyst removal. He and his staff were just incredibly nice, professional, and friendly. I didn't even have to wait to be seen; in fact they saw me earlier than my appointment time, and he was able to do the surgery on the spot! It was one of the best medical experiences I've ever had, such a rare occurrence these days! I HIGHLY recommend his practice, and will be seeing him as my dermatologist from now on.

Dr Peter Chien and his staff were very friendly and patient. The doctor listened to me and asked many questions. I had spent at least 6 months trying to cure my skin on my own (lol) and after my first visit to this doctor, skin looked better in just three days! A few months later and my skin is back to normal. I had already had a number of tattoo removal treatments and there was still some color and a faint outline and was told that was that was lightest the tattoo can get. During my regular visit to my dermatologist, I was referred to Dr. Chien to see if he had the ability to take the remainder off. When I called I was told there was a $335 consultant fee that needed to be paid before the doctor will see you & the money will be applied to the treatments if you get them, otherwise you just lost the money. I was told that I could take a picture of my tattoo and get an estimate or get information to even find out if removal is possible. I got everything together and sent an email to the office. What ensued was disappointment and frustration. I was then told that I could not have an estimate from the email and I had to come and pay the $335 fee - still unsure if removal is even possible. I tried to explain my position to the staff to no avail and I eventually gave up. This doctor certainly cares more about getting their evaluation money than actually helping anyone. I am annoyed that I was even referred their office in the first place as it only resulted in frustration and disappointment.

Pleasant waiting room and patient room. Dr. Chien is very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining different options and best practices. He did his charting after the exam, so I was able to spend more time talking directly to the Doctor, rather than talking over a computer as so many physicians do these days. I did not have to wait longer than 10 minutes between being processed as a new patient by the friendly front desk staff Melissa and being seen by the physician. His location is perfect for anyone working in the Flatiron, Gramercy, or Park Avenue neighborhoods.
