I brought my 10 month old son here for a check up and the experience was very disappointing. The office was noticeably unclean even tools that should be sanitary, the receptionist was unhelpful and unfriendly, and the entire environment felt disorganized. We saw Dr. Gloria Lin through our insurance because she sees children but the appointment felt extremely rushed and vague. She did not provide a diagnosis and simply told me to come back in eight months which is far too long for a toddler dealing with severe skin issues. It was clear that she lacked the necessary knowledge. Turns out, my son just has eczema which she should have be able to identify.

Topline: Cold. Impersonal. Rushed. I wanted to see a professional about my increasing acne, which is leaving scars on my face. I came prepped with notes (photos of my skin, products I use, my regimen, concerns, and history). I spent more time getting to the appointment and filling out the intake forms than I did seeing the doctor. I mostly spoke with her assistant, as she asked me about my reasons for visiting. I went through most of my notes with her but wanted to go over them with my doctor -- the person who'd be evaluating and prescribing me. Well, when the doctor showed up the assistant repeated my notes and I felt rushed by the speed of questions while trying to add what might've been left out by the assistant. The doctor looked tired (my appointment was at 820am) and as though she was ready to go the moment she stepped into the room. She touched my face for about 5 seconds and she asked me if I take protein, which confused me. I said yes, vegan. She asked if it had whey. I said no, it's vegan. She moved on without explaining why she asked. She seemed to be fishing for a reason to easily/quickly diagnose my acne. I felt like I was wasting her time -- and mine! -- by trying to explain myself. At one point she told me to stop doing a thing that I said I stopped doing. It felt sarcastic. She asked what my insurance was -- one of the very few questions she asked me. She didn't tell me why she was asking. The question felt random and rude, as if assessing what I could afford or what they could prescribe. And before I knew it, she already had a plan for me. It felt copy and paste from other patients. She didn't ask if I had any questions or concerns. The assistant got me "my" treatment plan and walked me through it. Not the doctor. There were two products I needed according to this plan. One product I was sold on site was expensive. I can only hope it works. The other product was sent to a boutique pharmacy for a reason I believe is BS. They said they don't work well with retail pharmacies. Yet when I called that boutique pharmacy 2 hours after my appointment, they said no prescription had been sent! I was told the prescription would be sent right after my appointment. It wasn't. I called the doctor's office. They said they'd send it over ASAP. I'm sure someone forgot. I called the pharmacy back 4 hours later and the boutique said again nothing was sent and apologized. I called the dermatologist office again and they said it hadn't been sent because it was busy and there was only one assistant working. I doubt my prescription would've been sent same day if I hadn't called. All in all, with driving, paying for a parking garage, paying my copay, paying $55 for a brightening cream -- I don't feel any better about my skin than I did before 820am. I left Schweiger feeling that my acne wasn't a priority and I would've been treated better had I been there for a more elaborate issue like surgery or botox. Overall, I wish I'd read the reviews and gone somewhere else where people show they care about their patients, especially when it comes to such a sensitive and insecurity-inducing topic like skin issues. I get the pressure doctors are under with patient turnovers, burnout, staffing shortages, and insurance complications -- so I know it's not just them. But experiences like this reminded me that gone are the days when doctors made you feel like they want to know you and help you to the best of their ability. With all of the reviews reflecting callouts similar to mine above, you'd think this place would learn, and make adequate changes to be better. Sadly, it doesn't appear so.

While I've been going to Schweiger Dermatology for years and have always had a positive experience, my most recent visit was not. The dermatologist did not have the best bedside manners and did not believe it was necessary to discuss the negative effects of the prescribed medicine. I almost walked out in the middle of the visitation, but I felt it was best to obtain the prescription and move on.

Hana Seckler, PA is amazing and very knowledgeable. She took her time to listen to my concerns and gave great feedback/advice. I feel very comfortable during my visit seeing her and would definitely return. I only gave four stars because the office was surprisingly warm. I'm used to medical offices being pretty cold. There are also some flies or bugs flying around the waiting room and one was in the patient room. It's summertime so I can't fully blame them but just slightly off-putting for doctor's office. Despite that, I would definitely return to speak with Hana.

I have been coming here for decades. Since they merged, I am less of a fan every time I have to call. To make an allergy appt is so tedious. And now it has to be booked under the Dr even though it is administered by a nurse. I miss Judy answering the phone.

First appointment here and at a dermatologist office ever! Dr. Sumayah Jamal explained everything very well and make it know that light scarring isn't worth the risk of laser correction complications so more to ponder on my decision. Nurse Jackie helped calm me down when it was time for biopsy abd a needle was involved. Very calm and trusting environment

They are amazing. I did a tele-health and it was great. Then in office the PA Austin was amazing and I would recommend them to anyone with skin issues. It's important for early detection.

This office was AMAZING. I had a really speedy experience, in and out, which was great because I had to go during work hours. I really felt comfortable showing my skin here (I’ve had doctors in the past where I’ve felt really embarrassed with my skin, but not here). I recommend to ANYONE!! I saw Hana Seckler for people who are wondering:)
