Was running late for my appointment and tried to call the office to let them know ahead of time and no one answered. Sent a text to receive an AI response with no one ever physically responding back. I arrived at the office and received a call from the front desk to let me know they are closed and to reschedule instead. Such unprofessional front desk staff not letting me know they would be closed. I wasted my time coming from a long distance to the office only to find out this information. Will not be coming back due to the lack of communication from staff. I prefer to be seen by an office that values their patients. Unfortunate because the dermatologist is good but the staff is horrible. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Truly the best dermatologist I’ve ever been to. Dr. Gloria Lin and her staff always fit me in promptly, handle my concerns with the utmost of excellence, and run the most efficient practice I’ve ever seen.

The staff were friendly and kind, which I appreciated. However, the doctor seemed rushed during my appointment. I was told that any questions deemed “cosmetic” would require a separate appointment with a $120 copay. While I understand the reasoning—this wasn’t a cosmetic consultation—it left me feeling like I had to carefully screen my concerns to avoid crossing an invisible line. It made the experience feel transactional rather than patient-focused. Although everyone was respectful, I didn’t feel truly heard or cared for, and I’m not sure I would return based on this experience.

Horrible Experience – Unprofessional & Dismissive Staff I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this dermatology office was beyond unacceptable. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. They spoke to me in a condescending tone, constantly gaslighting me when I tried to explain my situation. Instead of assisting me, they made me feel like I was the problem—refusing to let me be seen despite having an appointment. I’ve never encountered such unprofessionalism in a medical setting. A dermatology office should be a place where patients feel respected and cared for, not belittled and dismissed. If you’re looking for a practice that values patient experience, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Everyone was so kind and patient with me even while I was feeling out the paperwork. And even though it was taking me a bit longer, That did not stop my appointment time. They were incredibly thorough. I appreciated the nurse practitioner taking the time to listen to why I was there instead of turning their back and writing it into a computer. I got the sense that everybody wanted to be there and appreciated their job. Environment was incredibly clean and I would recommend it to anyone. Dr. Kin is probably one of the nicest doctors I've ever had in New York.

Was at my eyebrow shaping appt around the corner and complaining abt my surprise cystic acne spot that showed up a week before my Cowboy Carter show date. My brow artist mentioned that if I popped by any dermatologist’s office and grabbed a cortisone shot, it’s help get me right and reco’d Schweiger. Sure enough, I walked in close to EOD to see if they could fit me in, knowing my usual derm is booked out for weeks. Met with James within ten minutes and he got me sorted AND sent me off with a new script for spot treatment. A few days later and I’m already on the path to a clear chin so when Bey sees me in the crowd she doesn’t have to avert her eyes. What a win! Thanks to the team for helping take my bad surprise and turn it into a distant memory!

Wasn't a lot of wait time and the facility was clean and the staff was nice. Unfortunately, I will not be going back. I saw Dr. Lin a year ago and felt that my skin condition was not treated seriously. I have a serious case of dyshidrotic eczema on my hand and the doctor chalked it up to be just a case of dry skin. She told me to use lotion and certain soaps, which I've followed religiously. However no improvement has been seen for this past year. I believe I needed something stronger to treat my hand, but I do not want to go back to see Dr. Lin again.

Went here twice, scheduled from Zocdoc as an annual skin check. My provider covers preventative care pretty well, so I figured I'd have little to pay afterwards. That was the case for my first visit, so when I came back this year and was charged $105 for a 5min check I was a bit surprised. $21 per minute! I appealed with my provider and it turns out I didn't pay much the first time around because I'd met my deductible that year. They said Schweiger doesn't bill their services as preventative but rather as specialist. I called Schweiger to try to understand this situation better, whether it was a mistake or not, and was given a really dismissive, bordering on sassy "we get this a lot but this is how we do things" response. They said "annual skin check can mean a lot of things" clearly on the defensive. Okay. Why on earth would I be getting my skin checked if not to prevent poor health outcomes? For funsies? Give me a break. Dr. Lin was nice but pretty rushed in both appointments — the second one even moreso. She chitchatted through the whole thing as if to distract me from how quickly it was going. I was on the fence about coming back again because I honestly worried about her thoroughness at such quick speed, and now with this billing debacle plus the way I was spoken to on the phone, I definitely won't be. If you don't mind getting fleeced and being condescended to, by all means make an appointment. EDIT TO ADD: Went through a song and dance after their reply below to get some more information and got absolutely nowhere. I emailed them, they emailed me saying "We are going to look into what occurred and escalate your concerns to the appropriate level of management. Someone should be reaching out to you for further assistance." After two weeks without response, I followed up. I got a call later that day asking to schedule a phone call a few days down the line where they would explain things to me. That call never came. Another week or so I followed up again, they called me the next day to essentially say this is how they bill things and that's that. They said because I asked a question about cold sores ("how long could it take to heal," literally should have just Googled it) which Dr. Lin took all of 30 seconds to answer, there were "multiple health concerns" addressed during the appointment, therefore it was a specialist visit and not a preventative appointment. Absolute joke.

I have only been to a dermatologist twice before and get nervous, but I think I have finally found a regular place to go to! The staff was extremely kind while also knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. I feel better knowing I'll be more confident in scheduling regular check-ups and even recommended to a friend who had been looking for a derm!

My first visit with Dr. Lin and her assistant Shawn was fantastic! I’ve been struggling since the spring of 2022 to find a great dermatologist and now I am proud to say that I have! :) The diagnosis and treatment was explained to me very carefully. And now I’m really looking forward to the positive changes that are forthcoming to my skin. Five stars!!! :)
