I was very excited to get into the dermatologist and finally get my skin figured out. Was immediately disappointed the second I walked in the door. The receptionist was one the rudest people I’ve ever come across, she did not greet me except giving me the rudest look when I walked in. My primary care did not provide them with a referral, which she immediately acted as if it was my fault. I called my primary and asked them to fax it over and they told me they would do it immediately (they didn’t). She was extremely annoyed at me and told me that I was holding up the office, I understand that they can’t sit around waiting for a referral, however it was out of my control and they way she spoke was out of line. I’m not sure why the office couldn’t have called me ahead of time to let me know that they never received the referral to avoid this altogether.i will not be back, and also let other future patients know how my experience was. Im sure the Dr.’s themselves are sweet. Update - my primary care said that the referral was sent over and confirmed twice - so I guess the awful receptionist just decided to waste my time and deny me :). Luckily I found another dermatologist to get me in the next day in Newton NJ

I try to get a checkup each year for moles and skin cancer. I made an appt and got in quite soon, not a long wait. The P.A. found 2 spots that she decided to biopsy. The one came back as pre-cancerous and the second hasn't come back yet. She froze the first one to make sure all of the cells were killed off, so just waiting on the results of the next one. The medical staff is great, all kind and professional. I've been going here for many years and never had a problem. I'm very happy with the staff.

I was told I could only inquire about two issues because the appointment could not last longer than 10 minutes. If this is the new state of private equity owned healthcare we are all in a lot of trouble

Our whole family has been going here for years. My hubby's family has skin cancer and he's always had great care from them, screening & excision. I saw 3 MD's @ CRHC who guessed a series of weird round red dots/spots I'd developed were an infection, but shortly after the first series of spots developed, I suddenly developed a bunch more. The PA here at Schweiger looked at them and dug a little deeper as she suspected my spots were a reaction to something, learned I had a TB test a few hours before the 1st series of spots developed, and the 2nd series of spots after the repeat TB test. She suspected GA, brought in 1 of the MD's to see if he agreed and said she was right, as TB serum has (on rare occasions) caused GA. It pays to involve specialists especially after 3 MD's at a GP were stumped & just threw antibiotics at it. Perhaps it's because the required the TB testing as an EE even though my job didn't require patient interactions? And most recently our teen was seen 2 months ago by another PA who began her on a course of skin care treatment that has totally turned around her teenage breakouts. All around we are SO PLEASED and highly recommend Schweiger Dermatology.

Had 2 extremely terrible experiences at this location. The first time was my original consultation appointment. I had a confirmed appointment scheduled, once I had arrived at the office I was told that I didn’t have an appointment and I needed to reschedule for another day. As inconvenient as it was, I figured mistakes happen and we are all human so I rescheduled. I had 1-2 appointments after the consultation with no issues. The reason I have an issue with this location now, is because this instance has happened once again. I had a confirmed appointment and checked-in at the desk on time. Another patient walked in 5 minutes later claiming they had an appointment for the same time and was taken back in less than 2 minutes. I completely understand that you have to wait at a doctors office and they don’t take you in right away, it wasn’t expected. Where is the logic in taking a patient who was late to their appointment to see the doctor first over someone who has been patiently waiting? When brought up to the front desk after waiting 30 minutes, (not sure of the older woman with black hair and glasses name), she very rudely said there were two doctors in that day. I said I would like to cancel my appointment and left. The younger lady at the desk was very apologetic and called back to reschedule my appointment, but I am not longer interested in being a patient at this office and want to warn others to be weary of their appointment times, even when confirmed.
