Dr. Joanna Zorada provided excellent care after performing fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing on my face in her office. At first I had a harsh and unexpected response to the procedure that worried me, but Dr. Zorada answered my questions, recommended soothing treatments, and provided assurance that my skin was healing properly. I gently recommend that Dr. Zorada explain more thoroughly to clients considering this elective treatment its somewhat alarming, but non-permanent after-effects. The post-procedure pictures she provided didn't do justice, in my opinion, to the scabs that covered my face for up to four days after the procedure. But then again, it's probably safe to say people will react differently based on their age, skin type, and health.

Do not go here if you have an actual skin condition. I had a rash and was given a strong steroid cream to use. After things got worse I went to see another dermatologist who told me the cream I was given should not be used on the face because it is too strong and the worse rash I now had was a reaction to the cream. I'm taking antibiotics for a month to undo what they did to me.

Quick to get a appointment , short wait time But a man joined the doctor and I in the waiting room. I feel like if anyone other than the doctor is going to be in the room, they should ask. It made me feel weird and not want to uncover or ask questions.

I saw NP Priscilla Villavicencio on June 27th for an aggressive and weeping wound. She suspected bacterial infection and performed a culture test. No one called me with the results. My condition worsened. I called the office twice on July 2nd and July 3rd, but still no results. I even got a text message on July 7th saying the results are not out yet. I replied the same day inquiring why it takes 10 days for a culture test, still no one responded. I then found on my portal with the test result from July 2nd. The test confirmed there was no bacterial infection, and I should've sought after a different treatment plan much sooner. I am in pain and disbelief that the office handles patient care so poorly.

The doctor I see is fine, but the office is incredibly poorly run. When I was making my first appointment, I told them I needed to see the doctor for A and B. When I got there, they told me that the appointment wasn’t long enough for both things and they wanted me to deal with one thing that day and come back for the other thing the next day. Not bloody likely. In my subsequent visits (3 more this calendar year), the doctor has been astonishingly late every single time, most recently she walked into the exam room at 2:45 for my 2:00 appointment. An emergency once in a while? Fine, it happens. Incredibly late? That’s a poorly run office. If my oncologist, gynecologist and cardiologist can regularly see me on time, so can the dermatology practice that seems to be primarily focused on cosmetic procedures. If your time has no value and you like being disrespected, this is the practice for you!

I was going to email the office the following message, however I was told they do not have an email address… On Wednesday, I came in to be seen for a rash that had developed on my right buttocks/ upper thigh over the weekend. I was seen by one of your P.A.’s, M. Rosenhan, and I explained to her that I had bought and installed a new toilet seat over the weekend and I was pretty sure the rash was caused by that. After being seen by Ms. Rosenhan for all of thirty seconds, she told me it was a heat rash. I was an early childhood teacher for the past nineteen years and I had never seen a rash like that so I was already a little skeptical. She sent over a prescription for Nystatin to CVS and told me to put the cream on my bottom twice a day and told come back in two weeks. When I got home from picking up the medication, the label told me to apply it to my underarms, not my buttocks. Again, that was a little concerning. I put the cream on where it belonged Wednesday night and then again Thursday morning. Both times it started to sting and in the afternoon on Thursday I called to see if I can make another appointment, this time to see a doctor and I had explained what happened. I was told that the earliest appointment was going to be next week and I was not willing to wait that long. Therefore, I decided to go to urgent care to be seen. When I went to urgent care, I explained what happened over the weekend, the pain and uncomfortableness that I’ve been feeling, as well as what I was told by the PA. The doctor looked at my rash very thoroughly, and also noticed that it was on my left buttocks as well, which Ms. Rosenhan failed to notice. She explained that there was no way that it was a heat rash and said that this particular location would be very hard to get that type of rash. After being told it was contact dermatitis, probably caused by the new toilet seat, she prescribed me with triamcinolone acetonide. I was also told that the nystatin that Ms. Rosenhan prescribed could have been making my rash worse and that that particular medicine (the nystatin) should not even be prescribed for heat rashes as it’s the wrong type of cream. I wanted to make you aware of the situation as I am concerned about this PA treating other patients. I will not be coming back to this practice, so please do me a favor and cancel my follow up appointment.

I always have a great experience visiting the Schweiger Dermatology Group’s office in Purchase. The office is very clean and modern, staff are always friendly and helpful, and they waste no time letting you in to see the doctor. Dr. Schoenbach has helped me tremendously over the past couple years. My skin would never be this clear and healthy without the help of this amazing dermatologist. I highly recommend going to them for any skin-related issues or concerns.
