I have now had two microneedling sessions with Alison and so I feel it’s appropriate now to review. This is quite simply one of the best aesthetician/facialist practices I have ever been to. In this day and age as a customer trying to take good care of your skin and navigating the confusing landscape and marketing to find a trustworthy provider is absolutely terrifying. I’ve seen pictures of people online getting their faces absolutely assaulted by people who didn’t know what they were doing and I myself had my nose scratched badly at a facial gone awry at another practice in the area that claimed to be more high end. This place is truly a boutique, expert-run practice come to life. The things that drew me to Hyde Park Wellness were the transparency on the website about what specific products and technologies were being used for each of the treatments. The next thing that made the experience very trustworthy was the professionalism and responsiveness of the staff to my request for an appointment (and working with me on some last minute changes). When you speak to them you can gauge immediately there is a clear process and structure which builds consumer trust. But the thing that clinched it, and the reason why you should go to this practice, is the sheer professionalism and expertise and wealth of knowledge that Alison brings to her career to help you make the best decision for your skin and to get you the best skin of your life. As a bit of a skincare connoisseur, I could tell immediately that the products this practice uses are top-notch and top-tier. The staff are not in it to sell you on things you don’t need and in fact Alison guided me on not overdoing microneedling too frequently and starting gentle and then progressing based on how my skin reacted. I was never sold or pushed towards any other procedure (but I intend to ask once I complete my series of treatments about what else may be appropriate for me). As a physician I can tell she’s a true professional because she preached moderation not salesmanship. I had a clear understanding of the procedure, aftercare instructions, and within a week I had baby butt smooth skin and my pores are smaller than they have ever been my whole life. I am so grateful to have found this practice and now I’ve found it I’ll never go anywhere else.

I had my first appointment here with Angela today. I called every single one of my friends and my mom to tell them how amazing it was! Lol. I have never had Botox, so I was a little nervous. Angela immediately made me feel welcomed. She was so knowledgeable, empathetic, thorough and kind. My best friend is an esthetician so she is familiar with this industry. She had warned me ahead of time that whoever would inject me would try to sell me on as much as they could. This was absolutely NOT the case with Angela. She never once made me feel pressured or like she wanted to sell me on more than what I wanted or needed. She was very transparent with pricing too, which I appreciated. I couldn’t be happier. This was the best experience! I’m so excited to see how it looks and I can’t wait until my next appointment!

Alison has been my esthetician for nearly 2 decades. She is experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to all things skin health.
