Athlete's Foot Treatments

+

Athletes Foot– One of the most common conditions on the skin of the foot that a Podiatrist in Beaver sees every day. From Teenage athletes to runners to our aged veterans athletes foot is umbiquitous!Athletes foot is a fungal infection of the skin of the foot. It is EVERYWHERE! And it loves the warm dark moist sneakers that are worn all day.

Children’s Foot Care

+

At Beaver Valley Foot Clinic, we think kids are more than just small people. “As a mother of 5, I realize that kids come in with their own concerns that have nothing to do with that contagious wart on their foot or the infected ingrown toenail they have managed to hide from you. “

Diabetic Foot Care

+

Our main goal is to prevent foot infections leading to amputations; your Podiatrist will first ask many questions about your blood sugar. Then she will visually inspect the skin of the foot for any open areas, cracks between the toes or on the heels, and the condition of your skin (too damp or too dry) Areas of redness and blisters are attended to. Different treatment protocols are recommended for each condition. Then Dr Teimouri will check your pulses in your feet to see if you have adequate blood supply to heal any wounds. Next the neurological exam uses a very specific thickness of nylon bristle to check the nerves in your foot

ESWT

+

ESWT, or Extracorporeal shockwave therapy treatment is an option for patients with chronic plantar fasciitis. By delivering a focused shockwave to your heel it induces a microtrauma on the tissue that’s affected your plantar fasciitus. Your body naturally responds with a healing response that causes your blood vessel to form and increase delivery of healing nutrients to the affected area, thereby relieving symptoms of plantar fasciitis shortly after stimulating this repair process.

Laser Tattoo Removal

+

As tattoos become more and more popular, tattoo removal is also becoming quite common. People remove tattoos for many different reasons:You want to remove a tattoo that contains the name of an ex-spouse.You no longer like your tattoo(s).You would like to get new tattoos and “fade” your older ones. You’d like to get a job that requires some or all tattoos to be removed.

Laser Treatment of Plantar Warts

+

Plantar warts, also known as Verruca Plantaris, are small growths on the foot that develop after the skin is infected by a virus. They are a common viral skin infection generally located on the bottom side of your foot, also known as verrucca planteris or plantar warts, for which they are named. Plantar warts occur most commonly in children, adolescents, and the elderly, and approximately seven to ten percent of the general population suffer from plantar warts or a similar condition.

PLANTAR FASCIITIS (HEEL PAIN)

+

Heel pain that is felt on the underside or bottom of the foot is often caused by an often-painful condition called Plantar Fasciitis.Plantar Fasciitis, also called a heel spur, causes pain, irritation, and inflammation across the bottom of the foot. The plantar fascia, a ligament that runs from the heel of your foot to the ball, connects your heel bone to your toes. When this ligament becomes strained, it can result in chronic pain.

Running Injuries

+

The majority of running injuries are overuse injuries. They follow the “too hard, too often, for too long” principle. Newcomers are especially vulnerable.

Sclerotherapy

+

It is an office based procedures to eliminate spider veins legs, and other areas. Sclerotherapy consists of a series of tiny injections of a special solution right into those tiny little veins that irritate you so much! This causes the vein to seal off ans shut down from the inside. This allows the body to redirect the flow of blood to healthy veins. The procedure is nearly painless. The veins stick together and then shrink and close offuntil your body eventually absorbs them and they disappear!.

ingrown toenails

+

You can get rid of only by having it treated by a Foot Doctor. There is a simple 5 minute procedure we can do in our Podiatry office in North Hills or any of our Podiatry clinics in the Pittsburgh area to painlessly, permanently remove just a few millimeters of the ingrown nail border and kill the root so it never grows back again. This is done with s soft gentle Q-Tip dabbed in a special medicine and applied to the nail root, killing it, the rest of the nail is not harmed and will look straight and normal once it is healed.

I saw Dr. Tina with hopes for relief. She first said I had a stress fracture. After a few months and weeks of a boot (I work in healthcare, I’m on my feet ALL day) I got no relief. She then diagnosed me with a Morton’s Neuroma. I got 3 cortisone shots with no help. She proceeded with alcohol sclerosing shot (holy hell, they hurt) she said I needed 10 over 20 weeks... now I’m on disability with mobility issues. When I told her I was feeling pain after weeks of shots she told me “well, you shouldn’t”. Damn. You’re treating me!! HELP! I went for a second opinion and it turns out it’s not even a neuroma. she killed nerves that DID NOT need killed. It’s painful. I will NEVER go back to her. Rude staff and they rush you out. Disability paperwork? As if it’s not hard enough. Get ready for incomplete paperwork and attitude from her and all staff except the male receptionist. He was pleasant and helpful. If I could give 0 stars I would. *edit* I sued her for malpractice. I won. Do with that what you will.
