I have been a patient of Dr. Skalicky for two years. He is fixing another doctor's mistake. He is a wonderful surgeon. He said "I don't leave my patients hanging" and he meant it. He is always available and pleasant and never rushes you through an appointment even though he is extremely busy. Positives: Office is beautiful. Staff is so friendly, pleasant and caring. Dr. Skalicky is also. He continues to work to get you the results you want which unfortunately, brings me to the negatives... Negatives: I received rhinoplasty (tip refinement only. There was no computer image or anything to go by. Just a short consultation which I was mostly fine with. Dr the explained that they do not do images so I accepted that and we proceeded. Surgery was done at the hospital which was 5 hours later than scheduled due to patient before me having issues. I should’ve taken that as a sign and left then, but I didn’t. Surgery was FAST! Recovery seemed to be fine. When I went for post op appointment one side of my nose looked as though it hadn’t even been touched. Dr S asked me to wait to see how it healed and to see final results. At one year later, one side was very noticeably different so he offered to do closed rhinoplasty surgery to refine the side that was still bulbous. One week post op- the side which was to be refined was no different but the OTHER side was even more refined!! I was so upset. Dr. S had me come in monthly to get shots in the nose to thin the skin in hopes that the thinner skin would reveal the refined tip on the left side. I did this for at least 6 months. No change. I’m devastated that I spent all that time and money to have a nose that is deformed now. Revision surgery is astronomical. So now I’m left with half a nose and a broken heart. Do your due diligence before picking a surgeon. A beautiful office and a kind staff and doctor is not enough.
