very disappointed… first my daughter got there and waited 45minutes just to be informed the check in desk said she never showed after she checked in early and had them talk to my wife on the phone. She rescheduled and at her next appointment the doctor tried to put her on a “acne” medication without telling her it was really an off brand pill for kidneys or heart. Very weird how she didn’t give my daughter any details or ask if she had questions just told her mother to call if she had any questions. Definitely do not recommend for anyone under 20 or anyone interested in quality service.

I had a very disappointing experience with Schweiger Dermatology Group when trying to book an appointment with Dr. Charles Mayers, MD. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach the office by phone (no one answered), I booked through their website, which unexpectedly redirected me to Zocdoc. Although I selected Dr. Mayers, I was only able to book with a junior assistant instead. The website indicated a free 30-minute visit, so I proceeded. During the visit, I specifically requested a skin screening. The assistant briefly brought in another provider to do a quick check. The entire visit — including changing clothes — took less than 15 minutes, and I received no meaningful explanation, feedback, or medical guidance. To my surprise, I later received a bill for the visit, even though preventive skin screenings should be free or covered by insurance, and nothing was communicated clearly beforehand. When I called to dispute the charge, the staff was dismissive and simply told me to “call my insurance,” taking no responsibility for their own billing or booking practices. This experience felt misleading, rushed, and unprofessional — from the inability to reach the office, to the confusing booking process, to the unexpected billing and lack of accountability. I would not recommend this office based on my experience

Really disappointed. I recommend my sister go here for her skin cancer evaluation. She received her cancer diagnosis via the portal with no follow-up for over a week. She called every day and not one person called her back. Then today she finally got through and was placed on hold today and overheard staff speaking negatively about her. I won’t publicize what they said. They should be ashamed of themselves. I’m mortified at the lack of professionalism, lack of communication and lack of general care she received. She will be transferring her care but I thought other people should know how they treated her.

I have to separate the service provided by the doctors and the billing service. I have been going here for years and the doctor's service has been outstanding. The folks in the office are friendly and responsive. No issues with the actual office. The billing service sucks! Especially the automated chat service. I have been struggling with a billing issue caused by some confusion with Medicare since 1 April 2025. The chat service only knows how to say that they will start a billing inquiry. They also promised to resubmit my claim to Medicate and never did [causing additional delay]. Now I have a $600+ credit on my account and I want them to send me a check. They confirmed I have a credit via email to me. Two months later and still no check. When I call today they tell me it still needs to be reviewed???????? 6 months and counting.

The care is decent…but what you deal with after leaving, not so much. First off, I have had to straighten out claims with this office more than once. Most recently, they submitted a claim as a family practice rather than a specialist. C’mon guys…you know you’re a dermatology office. Second, they insist on using a by-mail pharmacy which is dysfunctional itself. It’s been five weeks and I’m still waiting for my medicine. Everyone else just sends it to the pharmacy down the street and you pick it up same day. It’s hard to watch people messing up the easy stuff!

Don’t go here! It’s not about the care. They over bill, continue to bill even after payment has been made in full. The front desk people have issues EVERYTIME with billing. Different people each month. I did speak w a William who attempted to rectify. Never followed up, But now 8 months since visit and I’m still getting, $50., $25., $23.00 bills. No one knows what they’re doing. Raquel is away on maternity. So now the whole place has fallen apart. Find another place.

The doctor came in and spent about 30 seconds looking me over after it's been 5 years since my last visit. Froze a few things before asking if it's ok or telling me what for. I really expect a diagnosis at least. It's a really unacceptable way to treat a patient. As a health care professional myself, I expect more.

They use an AI chatbot instead of a receptionist and you can't even call the specific location you want. If you ask to be transferred they leave you on hold for like 15 minutes before the call just drops.

Had a skin biopsy. They contacted me at 2:49 PM today to discuss the results. It's Friday. I called back at 3:30 and ended up in a loop between a bad AI chatbot and a call center in some distant land. After giving DOB and etc they said they would have someone call back. Nothing. Called back again, went through the process again (bad chatbot, friendly call person in a distant land)--this time the call center person said he's sorry but the office is closed at 1 PM on Friday's (odd since they called me at 2:49) and I'd have to wait until Monday to get my skin cancer (!) test results. I'm mad as a hornet!
