If I could give negative stars, I would. I have never felt more humiliated for simply booking an appointment in my life. I walked in genuinely excited for this consultation. Laser treatment was something I hadn’t seriously considered before—because, as a graduate student, I live on a tight budget. My partner wanted to gift me the treatment before our upcoming cruise, depending on the price. He was so supportive he even scheduled a same-day consultation under his name, since he was considering treatment too. Diana, the consultant, would have known this if she had bothered to ask. She didn’t. Instead, the moment we sat down, Diana launched into scolding my partner for booking the appointment, declaring he “shouldn’t be involved” because it’s my body. She gestured at me like I was a prop, while speaking to him as if I wasn’t even there. Then came the kicker: “How am I supposed to sell to her if I don’t know her name?” Followed by, “It’s a waste of my time if she doesn’t want the treatment.” Still talking to him. Still gesturing at me. I was so stunned I couldn’t speak. I cried as we left. I understand the need to confirm that I want the treatment and that I’m not being pressured. But this was the most unprofessional, condescending way imaginable. She could have asked my partner to step outside. She could have spoken to me directly. Instead, she treated me like an abused woman who wasn’t even in the room. The only question she asked me was my name. You cannot claim to care about my autonomy when you don’t even bother to ask me what I want. And you certainly cannot claim to protect women from pressure while simultaneously describing them as “a waste of your time” or “hard to sell to.” That’s not concern—that’s contempt. I would love the corporate office to reach out to me regarding this experience because I’ve never felt so devalued and condescended in my entire life :-)

The place and staff are super nice! I feel super comfortable and safe being myself at a place like this, no funny looks or judgements, just genuinely nice people! The laser hurts, as you'd expect, but it's VERY efficient! I'm only half way through my treatments and I see super good results, treatments are also VERY fast too (at least on the face), highly recommend! :D It's about an hour to an hour and a half drive away from me, but so very worth it!

My experience at the State College office has been nothing but wonderful and completely professional. Jess at the front desk is bright and genuinely welcoming. They have an RN on staff who does the treatments! That makes me feel very safe. Diane is wonderful and very thorough in explaining everything. You receive unlimited treatments and that’s comforting to know that you’re not wasting your money. You can also go to Milan in different state or different areas in PA if you need to. Absolutely fabulous! Worth every penny. I highly recommend Milan State College.

Diana was unbelievably rude to my partner and I. She made my girlfriend cry. Don't come here. Details: We booked a consult for laser hair removal. Or, more accurately, *I* booked the appointment under my name, which would become a bizarrely important distinction. Upon arrival, without even saying a full hello, Diana began scolding, "You should not have booked the appointment. I don't even know her name! Men have no right to mansplain or be involved, it's *your* body," expectantly gesturing to my girlfriend, awaiting her agreement, but she was so stunned she could only give a bewildered stare back. I politely said, "Well, this is something we've been discussing for a while now, and I just happened to book the consult today while she was asleep. I'm also interested, myself, so maybe it can be a two for one!", hoping to lighten the surprisingly tense and misandrist mood. "Well how am I supposed to even know who she is if you don't answer your phone?" Diana replied. I had booked the 2:30pm appointment via their website at about noon earlier in the day, and had missed her 1pm appointment confirmation call cause I was having a late lunch with my family. Her voicemail said to call back if I had any questions or needed to make any changes to the appointment. I didn't, so I didn't. Diana resumed, mostly talking to the room rather than us, "If you're not serious about laser hair removal, I shouldn't even be meeting with you. How am I supposed to *sell to her* if I don't even know her name? we are running a very big sale after all, and you men shouldn't be getting involved." The phrase 'sell to her' seemed to echo in the room. After a pause, I broke the uncomfortable silence, "I'm sorry, are we joking here?", trying to give Diana one last opportunity to stop the unfounded accusations and proceed with polite conversation. "No, I'm not joking. You don't understand what goes into this process. I need her medical release forms, and I don't even know who she is because you made the appointment." In my experience, a consult serves as an opportunity to communicate our needs and learn about the procedure, including risks and costs. This aligns exactly with the email I received from Milan after scheduling the consult. But what do I know-- after all, I "don't understand what goes into this process"... "I think we're done here."
