Everyone at Davidson Dermatology was extremely friendly and it made me feel so welcome. This was my first time here for a full body exam and to look at a mole on my back. I was pretty nervous but the PA I saw made me feel incredibly relaxed and comfortable. I recommend this place due to the friendliness and how quick the appointment was. It was quick but efficient and I was able to express all of my concerns with feeling that I was being heard. I will be back! Thank you!

I’ve had two appointments within recent months with the PA-C at the practice, Lauren Bostwick, who did my neurotoxin injections. Both times she has been attentive, caring and informative. She walked me through every step of the process and ensured my comfortability at all times which was so important to me as a first time injection receiver. Leslie the P.A. was diligent and a very upbeat professional, Lauren the M.A. was the same. Leslie examined my concern and I have nothing to worry about. The first thing you notice when entering Davidson Dermatology is the cleanliness of the front office area. The person at the front desk is always friendly and genuinely seems happy to see me. The wait to be called back to a patient room has never been more than 5-10 minutes. Lily usually leads me to my patient room and assists with asking questions about the purpose of the visit. I have seen both Dr Davidson and Lauren Bostwick PA. Both are very attentive and take the time to listen to my concerns. Lauren, the PA, has done several cosmetic treatments including neurotoxin (Botox/Xeomin) and laser resurfacing. I appreciate that she takes the time to walk me through what she’s doing as she does it. It makes me feel more comfortable knowing exactly what she’s doing while she’s doing it. The whole office has excellent skin and beautiful smiles! I enjoy my visits to this office!

IMPRESSED. Have you ever walked into a doctors appointment happier than you walked in? I hadn't had that experience until my first visit to Davidson Dermatology. They were SO quick that I couldn't even finish my paperwork (which was only 2 brief pages) before my appointment was completed! Dr. Davidson was thorough and understanding. She listened to my history and asked pointed questions. It was easy to follow her explanations for treatment recommendations. I didn't feel rushed or judged. All around a wonderful experience! I highly recommend.

As a new patient, I appreciated Dr. Davidson's thoroughness, confidence, candor, and knowledge. She seems like a very capable specialist. And the woman at the front desk was friendly and professional. However, I felt that the nurse/PA who led me to the exam room and did my intake could use some coaching. Before I had a chance to say anything, she was speaking in a clipped way and acting, well, a bit like a drill sergeant. Not a polished or sensitive approach--and it impacted my impression of the practice.

Dr. Davidson and nurses were very kind. The appointment and exam itself were great-- thorough yet also straight to the point. I am an MD student at MUSC, and I appreciated the way she explained my condition; it was a cool learning experience for me. No complaints here. As I was checking out, however, the receptionist was incredibly rude. When I first glanced at my prescription note, I was shocked at how far away the listed pharmacy was (1 hour drive), so I immediately asked her if I could change it. I tried to be friendly and asked in a polite manner, but the receptionist spoke to me in a condescending way. I explained that it was very far, but she kept insisting that "there's nothing we can do; it's the cheapest option for you". I acknowledged my understanding of the financial rationale, but I still asked if there were any other options. To my dismay, again she adamantly told me that it would be a ridiculous idea to change the pharmacy. I was very confused and quite frankly shaken at how I felt like I was being disciplined for asking a genuine question. Thankfully, one of the nurses stepped in and listened to my concerns, after which she kindly explained that it was an online pharmacy that would deliver my medication to me... that simple explanation was all that I needed! I would've given the practice a 5-star rating if it weren't for that stressful response to my honest misunderstanding. My appointment was in May of this year, but I decided to wait a few months before posting a review so that I could assess the quality of my treatment plan. It is all working as intended, so again I give a 5/5 for the medical aspect of this practice. After re-evaluating months after the incident with the receptionist, I can find some solace in that maybe she was having an extremely bad day, but that is never a valid excuse to be rude to patients.
