Dr. J has been my doctor for several years. Many Docs wouldn’t take the time to hear my symptoms or understand. They ignored me like my symptoms were not real. Of course I’m young how could I be so fatigued or sad so on. He helped diagnose me, and I had his diagnosis reconfirmed by 2 facilities. He saved my life. He was the only one who listened to me, and the other doctors over complicated what he figured out in two visits. This is a busy office, unfortunately like many medical places, the office can run 1-3 hours behind regularly for appointments. Plan accordingly here. This happens in many medical establishments, even bigger ones. Sometimes they miss medication call ins or mess them up. It’s normal here, every-time I’ve had an appointment, I have to call back about my meds not called in, or being incorrectly called, but to be honest, the fix it by end of day and are pretty immediate and apologetic, the doctor is so kind, genuine, and wants what’s best for his people. The nurses work their butts off all day long. I mean, work, their, butts, off. It’s a busy place, it’s small private owned. Being busy and mistakes are gonna happen. They are private and not a corporate place. Im thankful after 5 years of hopping, and multiple medication failures, side effects, and wrong diagnoses, that Dr. Johnson finally helped find what helps me. He is worth every wait and returned calls. Tammy is also great she’s more on the OBGY, havnt seen her since the old location. I plan on getting an appointment soon. The office does not tolerate any offensive nature, attitude, disrespect or other things of that region. This is again privately owned and expect respect in the establishment. Jenny always steps up and does beyond more than expected she’s an absolute rockstar that runs the behind scenes. Everyone, the ladies at the desks, the assistant nurses. They all work hard to provide comfortable service. They’ve been swapping over to more digital too. I highly recommend them. Have patience, these doctors do care, and they will do their best for you, understand it is a private establishment with high volume. It’s gonna be busy, sometimes mistakes are had. I’m thankful this is my Doctor!

My husband, granddaughter, and I have been patients for the past 4 years. We see Dr. Tammy, and Dr. Ashley. We have ALWAYS been treated and respected by the Drs., nurses, and all staff. If we have a health problem that is beyond their care, the Dr's. have referred us to appropriate Doctors. Although I have referred persons to Rocky Top, I understand there may be personality conflicts. Non the less, our medical profession DESERVE to be treated with kindness and understanding.

The manager of this family let me go just because I haven't kept my appts. This is a joke! People please please listen to me I have been there several times and waited more than 2 hrs for my Dr visit because she had taken tests and I wanted my results well long story short she never seen me then two times and secretary apologized and one even said I don't know why she hasn't seen you yet she's in the back and has no one she is seeing. I feel as this Dr had something personal against me. I never could fiqure it out at all. Everyone that would come in there would curse at the secretary because they been waiting a long time for their schedule visit me I would just go up to the secretary and ask what's going on and they said they don't know but I didn't disrespect anyone at all. The manager needs to get in contact with me about this issue because I was new to Tennessee and it's hard to find a Dr and finally had one appt and then she takes tests and then drops me no it don't work like that I need answers. Everyone if you go here you will be waiting a long time I saw two elderly woman come in there to be seen and they threw their hands up and left. They shouldn't have to wait so long for a schedule appointment. I'm also in management and would never do this to any of my employees.

This office has canceled on me and my husband after our truck broke down. They have canceled appointments numerous times on us making us miss work. Then to top it off.. the front desk will tell you one time when you are there ,then change the time when you come back. Been with them for 2 years , and they want to get ugly and mean with us today . We called to make sure they were giving his medicine that he needs until we find a new doctor. Very unprofessional place. Only money matters..not your health. Jenny the office manager is very unprofessional and disrespectful. She made it clear today that money is all Rocky top is about. I do not reccomend this place .

I have always had a hard time going to the doctor when I needed to because of just being another patient. I’ve seen Ashley Carr for over a year and she is wonderful! I’ve been to the doctor more this year than I have my entire life because I am finally comfortable with someone I trust and that truly cares. Ashley has used her best judgment to recommend things and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of how my life is going since she got me on anxiety medication. Her tech is also the best. I can’t remember her name but I always have a talk and laugh with her when I’m there. The ladies at the desk have always been very nice when checking in and out. I drive an hour to see them and will continue too as long as she is there.

Dr. Johnson, Nurse Courtney, and the staff are professional, kind, and helpful! I couldn't ask for a better doctor and his staff. Thank you, Doctor Johnson and to your staff , for always helping and taking care of me. Doctor Johnson and his staff have compassion and concern for patients, and I am so blessed and thankful to have a doctor and nurse who really care, and they always show it. Kindness and compassion really go a long way with me.

If you have a balance, this office will refuse to see you unless it is paid. They will not take partial payments. I was denied care that I desperately need because I wasn't allowed to pay 100 on a 165 bill and I have to be able to feed my family this week. A message to whoever put this in place: I truly hope you get to experience what I experienced today. You deserve it.

Wonderful staff and great doctors. They go above and beyond for their patients. Very caring and they take the time to really listen to you and explain how your treatment will go. I just can’t say enough good about them! And, this is with every appointment, yeah, I may have to wait a while. But, the way I look at it, good things come to those who wait! Thank You Rocky Top Medical Staff for everything you do......Oh, I can’t leave out the front office staff and the lab technicians, their just as amazing!!

If you have kids or if life sometimes don't go your way don't use this office they kicked me out when my daughter has Crohn's disease we missed 2 appointments for her flair ups and she was kept at children's for iron infusion. Then we missed a appointment for our transmission going out of our truck seems to me they didn't really care about our health at all for your self a favor and find a caring doctor that will call you see if everything is good with you before just kicking u to the edge

Made appointment to see doctor porter. I suffer from severe allergy asthma. They called me day before visit. Arrived at doctors office and checked in at front desk and waited to be called. Called me and waited for doctor in 2nd room. Finally guess who walks in room? To my surprise it wasn't doctor porter. It was a young female practitioner that wasn't even certified yet. I ask where is doctor porter? She tells me sorry he is no longer here. Something about retiring. So basically I was scamed and defrauded out of $165 after a blood test and EKG and no basic check up. Didn't even check my lungs for my asthma condition. Unbelievable! Horrible experience. These people never ever told me after several opportunities that doctor porter is no longer there. Do yourself maybe a life saving favor and find a good caring professional physician. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTORS OFFICE. TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
