Permanent laser hair removal is achieved with a series of laser treatments spaced six weeks apart. Hair grows in various stages. Active hair growth occurs in what is called an Anagen stage due to an ample blood supply. An active blood supply is necessary to attract energy from the laser during a hair reduction session. As the hair absorbs energy, the bulb or root of the hair heats up and is destroyed along with the blood supply. Hair reduction occurs after one treatment and a series is necessary to reach all the hairs in various stages of growth.
