I do not recommend this place. I very rarely leave reviews but I had such a negative experience here I have to share it. The doctor is VERY arrogant and rude and spent a total of 30 seconds with me. I was self-pay so I asked everything ahead of time so I didn't have any surprises on my bill. Then I was charged more than I was told over the phone by $200+. The doctor walked into the room after I waited for about an hour, looked at my skin concern and said "Lets do a biopsy" and walked out of the room before I had a second to ask questions. When he returned, I asked if he has seen something similar to what I have and what about it concerned him - he literally said "Do you know who I am? I teach doctors how to be doctors" I said no, I am meeting you for the first time today. I wasn't questioning his competence (which maybe I should have) I was seeking information about my health. I went in a few weeks later to have it removed, when I was over charged and misled, perhaps unintentionally by the front desk girl, about the cost. Then I heard nothing from them. I was told results could take up to 3 months so I waited and when I called to see if my results were in, they attempted to have me book another $300 appointment to "speak to a specialist" about the results. I had to fight to get them to tell me my results were online. Thankfully everything was fine but they wanted me to come in person to be told that. This place is all about money. AND... I have a beauty mark near my mouth to which he asked "What's that thing on your face". I actually laughed at the rudeness of it. He asked if I wanted him to remove it- again looking for more of my money. Thankfully, I am not self-conscious about it or it could have been really insulting.

I agree with a lot of the other reviews. I was able to get an appointment quickly which is a plus, but is very abnormal with specialists. Trust me, do not go to this office. I work in the field and also have a lot of expertise with doctors due to being a cancer survivor. The doctor is not interested in what you have to say and his bedside manner is terrible. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable at a doctors appointment (and I have thick skin). He treats his staff terribly. I heard him yelling at one girl through the exam door saying “this is all your fault, etc” extremely rudely as she was trying to explain herself. Finally, they have no idea how to bill insurance correctly or charge co-pays. Again, I work in this industry and none of the fees they tried to collect made sense. I really do not like leaving reviews like this, but I feel like I’d be doing future patients a disservice as they’re looking for a new doctor. Please wait the extra few months and go elsewhere.

Never come to this doctor!!! I got a mole removed by them. They lost my sample so I had to do an another big procedure. They use staples on my hand instead of regular stitches, which caused me a lot of pain when removing them!!!! He charged insane amounts for mole removal and not professional at all!!! I used another dermatologist later who is so much nicer and patient. The. I realized how bad Dr Ghoestani was. Negative rating!!

Absolutely love the consultation visits and results from visiting Dr Ghohestani. He has a fantastic attitude and always enjoys good communication. The staff is hands down the most courteous and efficient team I have ever seen. I wont go anywhere else for my dermatology visits.

Dr. Ghohestani is a knowledgeable man, I will not take that away from him however he doesn’t listen to his clients he feels insulted if a client voices their opinion, and I feel all he wants is to make as much money as possible out of his clients. I pay my co pay and for the services received but, a month later I receive an extra bill on the portal so I call the office and it’s as if everyone is clueless about the bill. I then ask well can I speak with someone in the billing department. The front desk response was there’s no contact for billing. Oh so I get it, Billing can bill me but, there’s no one for me to speak with. That’s absolutely ridiculous!! There’s just been incident after incident with this office. I’m definitely going to find another doctor. This office is very unprofessional.

This place is very dysfunctional. I went there 3 times during a 4 month period, there was new staff each time. Each visit felt like the first with filling out the same paperwork. The doctor was reasonably nice and seemed competent, but far from excellent. The billing for minor procedurs seemed random, over priced and was not explained in advance. At the end of it all, I just paid and wanted to be done with it. 15 months later, they send me a bill claiming my insurance did not cover a co-pay and not showing the amount I paid, which was way more than they claimed. I called to inquire about it. The receptionist, who souned like she might have been dealing with complaints all day, was rude and said someone would get back to me via email. My guess is that won't happen.

I have no doubt Dr. Ghohestani is a knowledgeable man, however I feel all he wants is to make as much money as possible out of his clients. I went in for a consultation for the Miradry procedure which was quoted to me $600-$900. I thought this was great since everywhere else charges much more than that. I set my appointment two weeks in advance, filled out paperwork, and they told me they would get back to me with how much the appointment would be after consulting my insurance. They never got back to me about that, so I messaged the day before my appointment to find out. I get a text message saying if I don't cancel my appointment at least 48hrs in advance, I will be charged $45. OK, so if I decide the payment is too much and have to cancel, I still have to pay the $45. Well, finally they got back to me with the payment, an egregious amount for a consultation, but I thought it would be worth it for this doctor. I get to my appointment and the first thing Dr.G says is that miradry is useless and pointed to another machine he has in the office that I should use instead. If it's useless, why do you offer it? I've read hundreds of positive patient reviews about miradry, but Dr. G insisted not to do it and to use this other (VERY expensive) machine in conjunction with botox injections. He asked if I have thyroid issues (due to the wavelengths of the machine) and I said no, but my mom does. He asked if I've ever had a blood test for thyroid antibodies and I said no. He then asked if I have any anxiety issues to which I said only sometimes and it's minor. He then immediately tried to prescribe me an oral medication that would help my antibodies and "make me a little happier." I told him no I don't want any medications, which he understood. He then stepped out to get more information on pricing for me for this new machine and botox injections. His assistant came back in telling me the very steep prices and asked which procedure I'd like to do. I said I would prefer to do some research on this machine before I do anything. Then she tells me she is setting up blood work for me to get an antibody count on my thyroid and asks what day would be best for me, to which I said no, I don't a blood test. She told me it was for my "overall well being", but I told her I'd prefer to talk to my doctor before I do anything. I left irritated with all the things they tried to push on me. Well, fast forward a week and I get a call from my regular doctor asking if I had already had my derm appointment and I said yes I already did. She asked if they told me Dr. G was not in network for me and I said no they didn't mention it to which she replied that they should've told me that and shouldn't have paid out of pocket. Not only that, but my pharmacy called telling me that my "medication was ready for pickup." I told them I didn't have any meds to pick up. Apparently, Dr. G took it upon himself to prescribe me a topical gel, which in the appointment I specifically told him I did not want because I have sensitive skin. All in all, I very much felt this doctor just wants to squeeze every penny out of you and was pushy with medications and procedures. I will not be back and I do not recommend.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone looking for answers In genetics. The only beneficial thing I received here was genetic testing but no treatment options. I had to pay out of pocket for each test and appointment but as a collective my parents and I agreed that the information we were receiving wasn’t worth the money we were putting in. The practice felt hectic and appointments were rushed , they took images of me that weren’t placed on my chart and they requested me to pay a 25$ fee for the imaging they took of me (on a cell phone). He requested a skin biopsy when a skin biopsy was not necessary based on my genetic results, everything felt disingenuous and a money grab. The doctor also had an ego as he insisted my other care providers didn’t know rare diseases as he did and sending information over through fax was a waste because apparently they never received anything when I gave each of my specialist his card information. I am also now getting treatment for a comorbid condition that he swore I didn’t have within 30 minutes of meeting me. If anyone’s in the case that I am in I’d recommend you’d save your money and go elsewhere for genetic testing. This is a hard process and support is needed as we go through this. God bless .

I saw him late May and I was traveling from out of town, so I didn't make an appointment just planned to stop by quick for some information. To my happy surprise, after doing the typical paper work, he was able to see me very soon after I finished it. During my consultation I didn't feel hassled into any service, which was a very good feeling. I first entered the office with a greeting and left with one too. He and his staff are very helpful and friendly.
