The front desk staff were very helpful and polite. All three assistants to the doctor were extremely friendly and thorough when explaining what was going to happen during each portion of the procedure. The surgeon explained what she was doing as the procedure progressed and afterwards, went over what I needed to do for my aftercare. Because of these professionals I felt at ease the entire time.

I went to Frontier Dermatology for a Moh's procedure. It's touted as a minimally invasive procedure to remove skin carcinoma. Plan on being there all day bc they'll take a little bit and have it tested and let you know it they need to do more etc. I had a small spot on my forehead. I did NOT get a Moh's procedure. They gouged me. They ripped into my forehead. I had 14 stitches for a small spot. It took me months to heal and my forehead is still not the same. I am pissed. And I recommend that you Never, Ever, Ever, Ever go there. What a chop shop.

Honestly, the dermatologist that saw me was cocky and unprofessional which was sad as they were recommended by someone I know and they completely dropped the ball in taking care of my needs back in October. He briefly spoke to me and sent me on my way and didn’t even bother to check the bump on the back of my head that was painful. I ended up going to walk-in at Optum in Mill Creek just down the street the next day and they were more attentive and caring to my situation and did a phenomenal job at taking care of me. If you decide to give this office a try I hope they treat you better than they treated me.

I saw Navid Malakouti as a follow up regarding issues with hair loss. I'm totally happy with the amazing results. He has a friendly bedside manner and also froze a spot on my nose that was possibly pre-cancerous during the same visit. I've seen him multiple times for various issues and would rate him as a top notch provider.

I visited Dr. Katrina Bassett at Frontier Dermatology (also known as North Sound Dermatology) for lipoma removals and had a very concerning experience that ultimately led me to stop the procedure for my own safety. There was excessive and unnecessary emphasis on risks from Dr. Bassett, which further contributed to a lack of confidence in the her ability to safely perform the removal. When the she began administering lidocaine to my arm, I experienced a sudden electric shock sensation radiating into my hand, consistent with near contact with a nerve. This was alarming, and I immediately asked the her to stop the procedure to protect my health. Prior to and at that point, the provider appeared visibly shaky and concerned. Due to the uncertainty, lack of confidence, and the nerve-related incident, I decided not to proceed. Despite no procedure being completed and the appointment ending due to legitimate safety concerns, my insurance and myself are now being billed for this service. This charge is not fair or justified given the circumstances and the standard of care provided. I attempted to resolve the billing issue directly with their billing department and was told that they will not be waiving even after recapping my poor experience and safety concerns. I would highly recommend avoiding Frontier Dermatology for your dermatology needs.

My husband was initially seen at the Monroe location for a spot on his face. They did a biopsy, came back squamous cell cancer. They scheduled him at the Mill Creek location for the Mohs surgery. We were told each layer of removal is 1 hour of time so he could be there 1 to 8 hours. It was a morning appointment in which they were behind already. It only took 1 layer to remove but he was there for 4 hours. He waited hours in the waiting room after the 1st layer removal to get called back to get it bandaged & be able to go home. 1 week later he went back for stitches removal, again running way behind. Finally a gal called him back, told him we're super busy so I'll be taking your stitches out instead. She touched the garbage can lid with her gloved hand then proceeded to remove stitches without putting on a clean glove. She was in a big hurry then tells him all done. 1week later we're gone on vacation. He notices there are still 3 stitches left in the incision. Fortunately I had tweezers where we could get a hold of the end of one & the rest came out with it being a continuous stitch. We are not pleased with this Mill Creek location & would not recommend. Overbooked & rushed !!

I’ve visited Frontier Dermatology a couple of times, and my experience has always been excellent. The waiting time is practically none — they take you in quickly, which I really appreciate. Dr. Malakooti is incredibly thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. He’s not only a great doctor but also a wonderful listener who truly takes the time to understand concerns. You can tell he’s very passionate about his work and genuinely cares about his patients. The staff is also kind and efficient, making the whole visit smooth and comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Malakooti and Frontier Dermatology to anyone looking for quality care.
