I was a 28 year old woman diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001. After going through all of the surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation, I vowed that if cancer ever came back, that I would opt for a double mastectomy and reconstruction. The time for that decision came 12 years later, at the age of 40. Dr. Oliva was recommended to me by a radiologist I used to work with but I had heard some people didn't' like his bedside manner. Boy oh boy, not sure who those people were, but I can't tell you how much both my husband and I love Dr. Oliva and his bedside manner. Dr. Oliva has been wonderful from the start. He sat with my husband and I and talked us through the process, what my options were and while he was serious about my diagnosis, he was able to lighten the mood with his sense of humor and we felt right at ease with him. He provided various options, his medical opinion and years of experience to recommend the best treatment option for me. He explained the procedures and both he and his office staff answered all of our questions about what to expect, details of the procedures and recovery time. His skills are amazing, even on a radiated breast, I have fabulous results. He strives for perfection and will do everything in his power to get you the results you desire. His office staff are kind and compassionate, extremely helpful and answered any questions I had along the way. I am ecstatic with the final product and would definitely recommend Dr. Oliva for any plastic surgery needs you may have.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Oliva for my surgery. Today I had my 6 week post OP appointment, to which I got released back to resume my normal activities. I cannot say enough good about the entire experience from the office appointments, the surgery day itself, and of course his wonderful staff. I tell people I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. The bedside manner provided, along with the care and compassion given made this an extremely positive and life changing experience. 5 stars is not nearly enough for the knowledge and care that I received!

I had been researching a BA and TT for about a year when I had a consultation with Dr. Oliva. My husband went with me and Dr. Oliva explained the anatomy, procedures, etc. in depth. We discussed my lifestyle, and expectations/outcome for my body type. When I booked 1 procedure with his staff as I was still feeling some uncertainty, he called me personally to address those concerns. I am very glad that I decided to go with both as my results have been amazing. The staff at his surgery center and in his office are very understanding and have always fielded my many questions with patience & informative answers. He is particular about his work, & as every body is unique, he will give post-op instructions at discharge and subsequent follow up appointments appropriate for that stage of healing. I would definitely recommend Dr. Oliva & would go to him again in the future if a need arose.

Dr. oliva and his staff were great! From beginning consultation to my very recent after surgery care, everyone has been very professional and caring. I was referred to Dr. Oliva from former patients and other medical professionals who have had the chance to work with him, all of them stating that "he is the best" and I couldn't agree more! Not only is he an incredibly talented surgeon but he also has great bedside manner. I was very nervous but Dr. Olivas straight forward approach and honesty really made me feel so much better. Dr. Oliva recently removed my 10 year old breast implants (which I chose not to replace) and did a breast lift. I never expected such amazing results! I am fairly new to Spokane so not knowing anyone here left me with only internet reviews to rely on. He was the only doctor I needed to consult with because after my first appointment I knew I had found the BEST doctor! Prior to my surgery, he requested a current mammogram which unexpectedly put my procedure with him on hold. Thankfully, I did not have breast cancer but the process led me to an eventual lumpectomy with a doctor from Cancer Care Northwest. During that time, Dr. Oliva basically assumed the role as my primary care physician because I did not yet have one in Spokane. He, and his awesome nurse Therese, kept me informed of all of my testing and pathology and Dr. Oliva even called me himself with results and what the next steps were. Finally, 4 months later, I was scheduled for my surgery with him. Through ALL of my unexpected extra time under his care I was never billed for any additional charges. That is a true testament to what kind of physician and person he is! I paid for my procedure only (and not until) I was finally scheduled. My surgery and recovery were SO much easier than I anticipated and I am SO HAPPY with my results! After my lumpectomy, my doctor at CCNW told me “You will be so happy with your breast lift, his results are amazing!” That was so reassuring to hear from another surgeon and WOW was she right! Dr. Oliva is a first class, caring and truly GIFTED surgeon!

Dr. Oliva and his staff were amazing through the whole process of my breast reconstruction. I had a lot of questions and concerns going into having surgery... Dr. Oliva talked me through what was entailed, what he would need to do, and what I could expect. On the day of surgery, all of the staff were super supportive and sweet. They helped me feel comfortable and at ease. I am someone who gets easily stressed out, and having everyone be so encouraging made all the difference in the world. I am so thankful to have found such an amazing surgeon. I was born without a thyroid and it’s affected me physically. I’ve been insecure about how little I developed for the past 8 years and always had felt not quite normal. Dr. Oliva was able to identify what the problem was and he corrected it beautifully.
